I picked it up yesterday and have been having a lot of fun with it. Versus mode is unbeliavable. There is very little in life as satisfying as lurking in the shadows, allowing the survivors to pass you, and then pouncing on the straggler and disemboweling them. And there is always a straggler.

I heard that in multiplayer co-op, if you die, you come back later as a boss-stage zombie.

That only happens in Versus and not in the way that you think. At the end of the level you will replay the level but with your team now being the infected and the opposing team being the survivors. It does this through all 5 parts of whatever chapter you chose.

During regular co-op if you die you will respawn into a closet somewhere and you have to wait for a team member to let you out.

I do not like Versus but I do like the campaign

Fucking hate the Witch.

The witch is pure evil. Pure fucking evil.

Everyone goes after the witch, when I avoid her like the rape she is.

Even when I'm playing with only AI characters they still manage to spook the witch every goddamn time. I say, if you piss off the witch I'm leaving you.

So I was on infected, right? And I was spawning behind the survivors so that I could lick Zoey's body from head to toe with my horribly malformed tongue, when the witch came running up the stairwell I was in, with the survivors running after her. The bitch stunned me long enough for them to kill me.

They've locked Versus mode to Normal difficulty.




I've uninstalled and told my friend to get me TF2 for Christmas instead.

They locked the random zombies to normal. The only time it matters is when you are playing as survivors. Playing as special infected is not effected by this, which is the whole purpose of locking it. It gives the infected an unfair advantage if the setting is above normal. You can pick whatever difficulty you want for normal online play.

Basically, the infected can still be shoved around the room until half past four, can be killed from across the map with a shotgun, or can retrieve other methods of anal penetration from Valve.

Bullshit, they're still just as effective.

I try to rent this game constantly. Sadly, ever 14 year old fuck in my town seems to have a god damned gamer pass, so they keep it for weeks at a time, only to coordinate the return so that one of their stupid friends can rent it before me. And I refuse to pay retail price for it, as I know it's short, and online play tends to bore me.
