Is there any relationship between Oddworld and Green Day?

I ask that because there are two MO's wallpapers with two phrases: "Having a blast" and "Having the time of your life". Well, Having a blast and Time of your life are Green Day's songs.

No, these are very common slang expressions.

Don't let them fool you. The boys from Green Day did a marketing campaign for Oddworld years ago. This was at the time that they announced that MO was going to be an X-Box exclusive and they were doing everything they could to hype the game and get exposure. Apparently they paid a great deal of money to Green Day but turned out to be disappointed as Billy Joe was overheard saying "This game is totally not the time of my life. Please, someone take me away to paradise." This caused Lorne to sue them and the ensuing three year legal battle really took it's toll on the small game company.

That makes sence.....I guess

Thanks OANST, I had always wondered about the Green Day/Lorne fiasco. I had heard a lot about it, but not much outside of speculation.

Had Wil said that it would have been a repeat of the Scrab evolution theory.

Well, of course they are. Anyone who disagreed with that would have to be a fool or a communist. Or maybe even both. No one here would even consider disputing the idea that punk rock is a perfect fit in an oddworld game.

Personally I feel that Abe's character was based off of a crockpot of all the members of the Sex Pistols. It's amazing how fresh they are even by todays standards.
