How long did it take you to finish?
Please post how long it took you to finish each Odd game, this has to be good ending not bad.
These are mine Abe's Oddysee (PS): About a week. Abe's Exoddus (PS): About 10 days. Munch's Oddesy (Xbox): About a month. Stranger's Warth (Xbox): N/A (I don't own it I've only rented it.) Discuss yours., Fred. |
AO - I've never been patient enough to sit through the whole thing in order, but i have done everything with the level select cheat(yes, I'm a cheater, and not proud of it) over the course of 2 years.
AE - to end bone works-5ish hours *lost save file* end of bone works (slig barracks too) to end - 6 hours 33 minuets and 20 seconds. Total-11:33:20 Never played the other two.*checks steam just in case* |
u always make the best threads fred;).
anyway i only finished MO in 3 days on perfect quarma.:fuzcool: |
AO-about 2 weeks
AE- 4 days |
AO: I never had the patience to do it properly until last year. That took me... 3-5 weeks. I really don't know because I only vaguely remember it.
AE: I've never done it completely right, but I got the good ending in... something like 4-6 weeks. I don't remember this much better. MO: Not all that long. I bet it was something like as long a AE. Only because I ended up doing lots of it again because it was very fun at the time. SW: What was it... A month or two? I don't know. Very hard and very fun.:D All in all, every Oddworld game put together took something like 3 or 4 months.:D |
Stranger took me two weeks exactly! The fastest I've ever completed a game.
MO took me about eight months. |
I've only beaten Abe's Oddysee. I picked it up again yesterday (actually, I picked it up over the course of a week but something's fishy with the memory card and it doesn't save anymore - so it was shut off). But it took me about ...oh, I'd say if I played it straight through I could've done it in ten hours. I beat it earlier today after starting yesterday morning and playing off and on for two days, haha.
Abe's Exxodus is coming in the mail - I've played it but I haven't played it since I was ...eleven? So I'll try and beat that when it arrives. :] I don't own an X-Box but I need to get one. |
AO took me 9 years to complete. I played it when I was about 5, got to Scrabania, forgot about it, then picked up where I left off shortly after I turned 14.
AE I can't remember. I'm not sure why but I have almost no memories of the gameplay, even though I've only had the game for a few months. MO took a week to complete and SW took 3 days. |
I've never received the good ending for Abe's Oddysee. I've finished it twice, but I've not got the good ending either time (the first time I finished it was way back when I first got the ps1).
Abe's Exoddus didn't take me too long at all. I don't know exactly how long, but I finished it when I had holidays for two weeks, so it was something less than that. Probably around ten days. I didn't get all of the mudokuns though because I didn't realise there was a secret room on the very first screen (I suspected, but only after it was out of reach). Munch's Oddysee took me the longest I'd say. Again I don't know exactly how long but I remember I got it with my Xbox, then returned it after getting stuck at a certain area where you have to run in with invisibility... that's all I really remember. Then I picked it up again and started again. I got the good ending but I didn't rescue everyone (some of them were near impossible to find for me... I should try again some day, after I 100% AO and AE. Stranger took me about three days, but they were a very fun three days, I tell you. Straight after I finished, I wanted to start again. Yeah, so that's me. |
About 30 seconds.
Wait, what are we talking about? |
Abe's Oddysee took me around 2 years total to finish completely (as in, with all 99 slaves), on and off. There were, however, pretty long periods in which I didn't play the game at all because I was stuck at some point or for some other reason.
Abe's Exoddus, on the other hand, took a significantly shorter time, and it took me around a month to finish it with a perfect ending. Seriously, it was so much easier than AO, which I thought kinda sucked...I mean, sure, no one likes to be frustrated, but I was hoping the game would at least take a little longer than a month. |
A few days each if I remember correctly... It was such a long time ago
|
About 4 weeks for AO.
And I think 6 for AE. As for the rest I can't exactly remember but I think they were the same as AO. |
Took me ten years to complete AO.
And about eight to complete AE. Since I'm certain I actually played MO a few years ago on a pod I'll have to own up and say I've never finished it D:. |
Months to complete AO, it was before I was totally obsessed with gaming, and I ran into a roadblock on the first level of Scrabania. I was nine.
AE, not as long, but some weeks. But I completed much of the second disk with a friend during a sleep-over, but did it twice for different saves. Both of these games I had to keep swapping controllers every time I died for my first play-through. Both times I started and my younger brother insisted on playing, both times he left, I got a fair way through and didn't want to start right from the beginning again. Nightmare. MO, some two or three weeks. I had just got my XBox and was alternating it with Halo, which was also new to me and served as my multiplayer game. Stranger took three evenings. The first two were spent messing around with a few outlaws, the third was a Friday and I got hours at once. Though technically I didn't march into Sekto's office until the next morning. |
AO
4-6 years old with my dad: 1.5 years. 14 years old: 5 days. AE 6 and 7 years old with my dad: 1 year 14 years old: 8 days. |
AO took me around a month to complete fully first time and AE the same. I can now complete AO in about an hour without saving all mudokons and AE in about 2 hours without saving all mudokons.
|
Tricky to remember how much it took when I first played them... This summer, it took me about one month to complete each game (and by that I only mean AO, AE, MO and SW) except SW which took 3 months I think... and, of course, when I was really bored and finished AE in less than 2 weeks...
P.S. And I forgot that time when I completed MO in a few days trying to do the best I can being convinced that there was a quarma that's better than Angelic Quarma! Huh... |
I can't recall for sure, but probably about 2 weeks for AO and roughly 3 weeks for AE. As for the endings, I don't really remember what I got. On later playthroughs, it took slightly longer, since I was recording and jibbajabba.
|
I think I would've beaten MO by now. I just got the game a few days ago - but unfortunately my PS2 won't save it. So I have to rely on quiksave and hope someone doesn't shut it off. When I first got to the second disc, I put it in and hit the reset button. Whoops. So I did it again and got to the paramite area, then someone wanted to play another game and shut it off. The third time I got all the way back to Soulstorm Brewery and I think I'm getting close to the end. So I should have it beaten by tonight or tomorrow.

:
And I can't remember the time for AO and AE, but MO took me about a month for just beating it, while stranger took about a week. |
I can play and finish AO and AE in two days now... the first time I spent two months to finish AE and about a month to finish AO (I mean saving all the Mudokons in each of them).
