could it be possible that i am the only who noticed this?
if look closley on the moon on screen EIP03C05 u can see that abe's hand is already carved on it.
here is a screenshot. |
I didn't notice this one, but there's another one on another screen. This is how it's supposed to be: It was there for a really long time.
but i thought lorn lanning said that it was carved by meteors the moment abe jumped to where the moon is.
No, he just denied that in Part 7 of Nate’s interview with him.
Screenshot from a secret passage in the 'Slog Goes Boom' area, a short distance before the 'Abe's Moon' cutscene.
http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1220835921 Suddenly you wonder why Abe didn't notice it here; not quite as subtle as in Abe16's screenshot. I'm always caught by the tiny, steadily flashing red light in the background, high up in the sky during the Return to Rupture Farms level. An early reference to Vykker's Labs, perhaps? |
That's the screen I meant in my previous post.
u have that art of 'spot the mistakes'.

u mean that yellow abe face , which appears as a loading icon or in secrets areas?
Try to say "you" instead of "u", it's only two more letters...
and no, I was talking about our own moon, you know, luna... |

lol , it's edited , the sprite looks a little wierd and vykkers labs is for arxryl's sprites.
I wrote a really snarky reply to that and then erased it. See, everyone. I can be nice. Even in GD. It is possible.

I got some screenshots to illustrate the "glowing lights" (which look very similar to the floor lights in RF) on two screens of the Stockyards Return level (you just need to look near Abe's eyes): |
:
I've went through Stockyards again, but in the Stockyards Escape version, and there are no sign of glowing lights, at least not where they are in Stockyards Return.
I think the glowing lights are just stars flickering in the night.

Sorry? What are you talking about?
joke not got, guys. nice.
I think the tree is just a dead stick shoved in the ground. Hell, they have some weird-assed stuff in Oddworld...
Anyway, maybe Abe is just really short-sighted (I forget which is which) and didn't notice that space-ship fly by =P |
Near-sighted? And since when is a vykker pod a spaceship?
I've just want to say: I've always noticed the paw print on the moon. I caught it before the lil vid. I guess he hasn't seen it because he's been working in Rupture Farms for a long ass time. Mind you, the moon was to the far side of him, out of his sight. He only noticed it when he was facing it and it was huge as hell. I mean, if you are running away from some place, at the same time, watching your ass so you don't blow up or get eatten or die, would you notice the moon has some kind of figure on it?
Lol I guess not. Still, there are SOME safe spots between the beginning and end of the stockyards where he could take a breather and look at his surroundings, don't you think?
If you were a glukkon designing a security zone, would you put in safe spots?
Yes I understand that, but, they were not prepared for when Abe was actually escaping. It's not like Abe walked up to them and said, "All right guys I'm gonna go try to escape now!". No. He just took off and plus, what about when he broke through their defenses? Like, if he killed a Slig and had a couple minutes to breathe? I'm not saying I'm right, I just saying that I don't think I'm too far off. I mean, it's not impossible for the Glukkons to have missed a spot or 2...
Remember, It is a 2D game. Even when you do stand in a safe zone, you would want to keep going in one diraction. And +, it's just a game. Real life is way different.
True, I'll give you that.
what I find strange is that noone has noticed that in AO all the muds (and the moon) have FOUR fingers, while in AE they all have THREE! i wonder, did they do it so that it could sell in asian markets?
