What's the creepiest Oddworld species?
 

As the title says, what do you think the creepiest Oddworld species is and why? I would probably go with Interns because of their looks, Vykkers for the same reason (though not as much). Tell me what you all think!

Khanzumers because we never seen them neither we know their capabilities.

As for a serious answer: I'd say bats are the creepiest. They definitely freaked me out the first time they killed me without knowing they were this dangerous and in the Paramonian Temple where I was chanting to read the firefly sign just to get killed without having the chance of escaping. Also, at some points in the temples (maybe only the Paramonian one) I could see the red eyes of bats in the dark, it was really spooky as I was convinced they will come out to attack me at some point or another. At some points I also find Greeters and Sligs quite spooky, but almost all of these species has something humurous about them (the way Greeters seem to act or the unserious discussions between Sligs, for instance) whilst there's nothing laughable about bats.

I could have nominated one or another of the species in Stranger's Wrath, but I barely remember 'em. I last played that game when it came out and wasn't brave enough to try to play it again (this time 100%)... well, until now.

The first thing that came to mind were fleeches, and then paramites in caverns and caves.

Then I remembered Oktigi. Bing bing! We have a winner!

Lots of Oddworld creatures can be very creepy if they are in shadow, especially Paramites and Sligs. They are unfamiliar shapes making unfamiliar noises and they can kill you instantly. Vykkers start off quite creepy in MO, but this is completely undone by the time Munch regains consciousness. Despite their gothic equipment and Methuselah looks, they are too comical to remain creepy. Greeters are creepy in a much more freakish way; they are creepy in ways only PR can be.

The very first thing that came to my mind was Oktigi. Nothing on Oddworld has put a shiver down my spine like Sekto.

I'd have to say...Paramites. The way they're mouths are shaped like human fingers is really cool and down right creepy to me! And when they're in the shadows waiting to attack! -shivers-

Fleeches. It's really creepy in the first Mudanchee secret on the bottom screen, when the Fleeches suddenly come.

I would say Oktigi too. The style and espacially the sound of this creatures are really creepy in my opinion. I really hate the last two nearly the end of the game by Stranger's Wrath. What would Abe do witch some sort of this creature? Can he posses a parasite?

erm i suppose paramites for me.the sounds for "do it" and "attack" sound creepy.plus they arnt very pretty either.

Nah. Either Fleeches or Paramites. Sligs aren't so bad once you get to know them. Greeters creep me out too. They greet you (no pun intended) with a grin and then vasporize you. Great PR the Cartel's got.

I completely agree with you. As soon as you hear their voices it just ruins it.

Anyway, I think Paramites are creepy too, especially in the nests where they're hidden by shadows and you're not sure where they are (I'm talking about the AO and AE Paramites. The MO Paramites where hardly creepy.)

The creatures that actually crept me out the most in game were the bats... which is kind of lame when I think about it now.

I am going to have to say slogs just because they surprise you when they start attacking especially at the part when you are returning to Rupture farms and you are going through the areas that you started out at. major surprise when the slogs start comming out at you to those who never played the game of course.

Also Clackerz. Even though they are annoying, they do have this hidden sinister nature about them like when you tick them off they will end up shooting you to death later in the game. Kind of reminds me of Hewet family of the Texas Chainsaw Masicure.

For me, the creepiest creatures are definitely Oktigi, probably because parasites really freak me out. The whole idea of an octopus-thing latching onto your face and controlling your body is really scary as well.

The paramites themselves are quite cute but when their scurrying about in their webs, waiting to come out of the shadows, it's easy to see their creepy side.

I think Slogs, because when they eat you very fast and you can't realize it.

Yeah, it was scary when that Slog suddenly appeared after the motion detectors screen in Stockyards Return.

I still think the bats were the creepiest, even though Xavier says it is lame. How can I say that Sligs are creepy anymore even after seeing the Magog on the March presenter or the slackers throughout MO?

Scrabs. I remember the first time I went through the stockyard and they were walking beneath me. And then later the secret area where you have to run away from one and he just nearly gets you. Those bits always had my heart beating in my throat.

I never thought about those stupid Bats begin creepy but now that I picture them in my head and go through the Paramite temple they do have a weird creepy feeling. o_O
