The Holiday Thread!
I thought it would be very fun if we were to post where we last went on holiday and what we did! My last holiday was a short visit to Bridlington (on the east coast of England).
I was supposed to go to italy as well but my dad has slipped a disc in his back and is not allowed to go on aeroplanes, therefore we decided to have a four day break in our grandparent's caravan. It was relativley dull at points, but needless to say we had fun aswell. I have several interesting pictures to share, one of a factory which has a rather scary resemblence with an oddworld based industrial plant of some form. I would post these now, but they are on my sister's camera, which she has taken with her while she has gone camping. I shall post the pictures immediatley when she gets home. Let the holidayness begin! ABM :D |
Hong Kong. I don't reccomend taking young children round certain markets ¬.¬ Alot of interesting stuff, though, and obviously cheap. Also alot of live things. Fish, turtles, etc. Though also beware if you're rather squeamish: fish sliced in half from head to tail, while still alive. Heart still beating.
Very packed, but some nice places to go to, great views in certain spots too. Was a while ago, so kinda hard to remember alot of it. Been to Disneyworld twice before, way before Hong Kong even, though. Going again next Janurary. Highly recomended, and that's completely ignoring any 'Disney' aspect of it. |
ABM you went to Brid? :P Poor you. I live in the area, it sucks here!
I went to Florida and Mexico. It was good. - Rexy |

Then again, that was in 1984 (or '87, I can't remember). I visited Kanagawa (Yokosuka) in Japan about eight years ago. Great place. There was a really relaxed feeling over there. I'd go there again, any day. |
Depends on what you call a holiday. My last field trip was to Scarborough. My last school trip was to China. My last expedition was to Thailand. My last trip that we called a holiday was years ago. Lack of family and lack of money makes such things little more than a dream.

Man, Max, tell me about it. It was little more than a miracle that I even got to Japan. Most of the time, I go down to either the Lake District or Cornwall.

Puglia, meeting some nice girls. Unfortunately they live so fur and I can't see them now :(... anyway that's all I did there.

Maybe I can mention that I was all set to go to Costa Rica this summer, but even with a job I couldn’t get myself enough money to go, so I had to cancel. Yesterday was the day I was going to fly out, actually. I hadn’t realized that until now. That’s a downer.

I visited Chelmsford.
Alcar... |
Yeah Rexy wooh!
Bridlington all the way! (Jokes) We stayed near fir tree caravan park, ring any bells? ABM |
Dearest apologies for the double post but i have several things to share.
Here are my photos... -Oh and Rexy, i was staying near Sewerby Hall if that helps, i go every year. I was most shocked to find Havoc sat lazing about in a deck chair at the clifftop carboot! You lazy tiger people you... I was going to say hi but I had to leave... :( ABM |
You should edit your posts to avoid double posting.
Haha near Sewerby? :P Nice. I've been assured that it's a lovely place to visit, but the geriatrics get old after you've been here for 6 months. - Rexy |

I’ve been to Sewerby. Geology field trip to the beach. We had to wear protective gear because, perhaps predictably, Sewerby’s sewers empty onto the beach. Nice!
|
Hmmm.
Sewerby... Sewers... Sewerby Sewers... Is that some form of joke? ABM |
We thought it was a joke when we were taken there. It turned out to be not so much funny as repugnant. :)
|
I've been in the sewers. They're not so bad.
|
In Sewerby?
Check out the Nort Yorkshire crew. - Rexy |
I took a three day family vacation a couple months ago. We stayed in this old west town where they had gunfights and bonfires and we all sang Kumbaya. I'm serious. I did.
|
I'd love to take a huge road trip around the country, especially the west.
