A little question about signatures
If I were to add a link to another website in my sig, is that classified as advertising?
And if so is that allowed in a signature?:D I have a website in mind to add and I don't want to break the rules which I have read and it didn't mention it.:D |
What's the website? Why are you linking to it?

That is advertising the game but whether it's legal or not putting those links in your sig is kinda what they're for.
|
If it's allowed, I'd probably make a link out of my signature pic too. Though, I could also upload the comic in a new art thread here, and not somewhere else. Hm...
|
Advertising. It's kinda an ad for that game. Well, ask an Admin.
|
Not advertising strictly but I'm not going to allow it.
And Horia, please don't give your opinion when they're asking for a member of staff's. |
:
Horia hasn't done anything wrong by giving his opinion - it states so in the rules. Everyone has the right to express his or her opinion, as long as it isn't posted with malicious intent. ... Crap did I just say that to Hobo?! |
Yup.

If advertising isn't allowed, then perhaps make a rule about it? There are a few members who may need to change their sigs to make it fair and equal.

There IS a rule against it.

Do not, under any circumstances spam. Spam can be defined as posting excessively, flooding, excessive advertising, double posting, posting irrelevant replies or posting replies containing the bare minimum of words. So it becomes a question of whether this putting a link in your signature is excessive advertising. Well, surly not because he's only applied one link once however this link will appear on pretty much every post he's ever posted and ever will post in the future (until of course the link is removed from his signature - technicalities are EVERYWHERE!). The question remains - Let the Mods decide! |
Or Admins...
|
:
|
All admins are mods.
|
But not all mods are admins! ^______^

Thankyou, Edward De Bono.

I aim to please. *bows*
