i need major help in AE
 

i'm at a part in slig barracks where there is 4 crawling sligs traped between 2 gates and the button to open the gates is between the gates. I can't posess the sligs because there is a thing that stops you from posessing them (sorry i can't think what it's called) on the next screen there is a BOOM but the bombs from it wont blow up the thing that stops you from possing the sligs does. anybody know where i am and can you help me?

I know exactly where you are, and yes, you figured it out correctly. You have to blow up the "chant supressor orb" by using a hand granade (from the boom machine, two screens to the left).

Here is what you have to do: you have to make Abe hold the granade for about 4-5 seconds, before it blow up (you can count the beep-beep little noises that the granade does - I think it beeps 6 times before it blows up) then throw the bomb making it explode in the mid-air, destroying the red orb. advice: practice throwing the bomb from diferent angles by pressing the different directional arrows (up, down, left, right)

After blowing the orb, possess and kill the crawling sligs, except the last one, who you will use to press the green button to clear the path.
