Steatoda grossa. I've got loads of these in my house. They're poisonous but usualy it's only the females that will bite you.

Well asides from me, I wonder how many members actually have any as pets.

I don't need to, since I live in Asutralia I see enough of them every day.
I am thinking of getting a pet soon, and I would get a spider, but it would scare my mum to bits, which is great, but it would work better with a rat.

Rats don't do well on their own. In the wild they live in huge social colonies, so unless you're committed to spending atleast three hours a day with your pet rat, get two.

That's a huge picture Shadiela, those fucking hairs are creepy. God, how do you keep so many spiders? I applaud you for it anyway.

I envy you so much! I really want a Goliath in my collection. So far I have a Chilean Rose, 2 Honduran Curly Hairs, a Green Bottle Blue, a Brazilian Salmon, a Texas Brown, and a Brazilian Black and White.

They're like potato chips.....you can't just have one. :D
