OMG! Old people competent with technology too!
MOD EDIT: Split off from this thread.
Ouch, well I have to tell my dad to stop suckig all the bandwith and I'll get started then :p |
Edit: Xavier, you're 21 and your dad uses the internet? I think that S-U-C-K-S
|
Which part sucks? The being 21 part, or the dad using the Internet part? :dodgy:
|

|
I still don’t get it. When you reach 21 your parents aren’t allowed to use the Internet any more?
|
Of course not Max, what kinda world do you live in. Why just the other day I caught my dad using the internet, got the broom outta the pantry, and beat him till he learned his lesson.

Actually it's if my dad was being to old for the internet that it would suck. How old do you think he is? Plenty of "not-young" people use the net over here.
What would suck too was if he was keeping the pc for him all the time, but that isn't a problem as we have 3 pc at home. :p |
I have 3 PCs too. (and a laptop)
|
A bit old for the Net? Seriously, what are you talking about?
|
My stepdad is 61, he knows more about PCs than I do...:(
|
thanks Nate for the splitting... :D (and no! my dad is not what I'd call an old person :p)
|
There's no limit to what age a person can use the internet. My grandma uses the internet, and she's in her 60s.
|
Same here, my grandmother is 72 I believe, and uses the 'net for a variety of activities. My father is among many things, a computer engineer, and he is 48.
Alcar... |
Personally, I like it when older people use modern stuff just like we do.
Like using a washing machine instead of doing their laundry themself, or using eMails instead of airmails as an example. So what exactly is the problem here...? |
oh momma that hurts.
My grandma is playng nintendo wii... |
I heard a story recently about some pensioners using Wii Fit to train them for a 95 mile hike or so. . .
*looks for it* Oh right, here we go. =P http://www.echo-news.co.uk/search/di...rek_on_wii.php |
My dad's father had a computer for a while, for the occasional word-processing, but he seemed much more interested in playing obscure racing games that use really old cars. It sees little use now.
My maternal grandparents don't have a computer at all, nor do they have any interest in getting one. Before their retirement all their work computing was performed on mechanical gizmos, and they use other people's e-mail addresses when the necessity actually arises. Though my grandmother did eventually get a mobile phone, which she has difficulty using due to both complexity and arthritis, and they have Sky (UK market-dominating satellite TV, Mr Murdoch's). |
When Bill Gates will be an enderly man, he will be an old man who can use a PC.
|
:
And more than enough 40-60 year olds use the internet... There is nothing wrong with it. |
:
|
My Grandad is 77 and he uses the internet!
I win! |
My grandmother is dead and she blogs.
I win. |
Proof?
|
She may be dead, but how old is she?
|
7.
|
at least 461..
Btw, I just have to say that I love your banner/thing Leto. I just noticed it, ah Peptridge Farm... |
