Wii Fit!

Yes. I own Wii Fit. Yes. It works.

I have been steadily decreasing in weight since I got it. My stamina has gone up a great deal, I am already more muscular than I have ever been in my life and for the first time since I recovered from a surgery over 5 years ago I am beginning to gain a bit of confidence in my body.

I used to be very thin. Extremely thin, in fact. When I was 19 I weighed 120 pounds. So, imagine my surprise to be 27 and 200 pounds. After just six days of using Wii Fit I now weigh 193 pounds and I feel fucking great. My current goal is to be at 185 and I intend to be there shortly.

Could I have done this without Wii Fit? Yes. Would I have done this without Wii Fit? No. I would have never found the motivation to stick to an exercise plan without all the daily graphs telling me exactly what I have done and how much progress I have made. Also, to have such a complete workout in one format helps a great deal.

The only downside that some people should keep in mind is that my current workout routine takes about 3 hours to finish. It's time consuming. But goddamnit, it feels good.

Well bless my soul!

I may have to buy it then :D

Mac Sirloin 06-07-2008 08:59 AM

Wow, so I guess I'm going to have to buy a Wii again.

I'm glad it works for you OANST. I'm not getting it... Too expensive, and probably won't get much money till Christmas/Birthday/16.

Moosh da Outlaw 06-07-2008 11:53 AM

Congrats, OANST. ^^
I'm surprised it actually works.

Oddey 06-07-2008 12:07 PM

I'm going to need that. I'm puttin' on weight slowly but surely, just like the little engine that could. I'm still thinish but I've been gaining faster than I've been growing.

Congrats to OANST.

OANST is right.these really are good, and it shows you in more detail how good,(or bad) you've done.plus its quite fun(like the balancing games).

If I had a Wii, I would now start thinking about considering getting one. No, seriously. I probably can’t afford it. I probably can’t afford a Wii in the first place, actually.

Lack of money scuppers much of my ability to understand the content of this subforum. It also scuppers my intentions to get fit. Mr OANST, I am jealous (and also impressed with your stats; keep it up).

OddYouko 06-09-2008 07:09 PM

Congrats!
I want one but like everyone else said..don't have enough money right now.
It's about time they made a game where you have to actually use other parts of your body besides you hands.

I thought this would be a thread about Wiimote epilepsy. I was disappointed.

Holy shit, it works? I need to get it, my wife's starting to get bored (and not of the Wii).

Wil 06-23-2008 03:27 PM

Of you? *giggles*
By reading the above you are agreeing not to infer meanness.

OddjobAbe 06-23-2008 11:27 PM

Yes, of me. Talk about diminishing my opinion of myself. I can't understand why, but she seems to prefer changes, and not same things over and over. Fortunately, if her brain works the way I think it does, Wii Fit can change that. God bless Nintendo.
