Abe's Oddysee demo on the PC
 

Ok well I downloaded the AO demo here.http://www.oddworld.com/firsttenyear...amedemos.shtml So I started it and got used to the controls and stuff(how do you PC players do it?):fuzconf: And well I was wondering if there were any cheats codes for the demo. Level select or view all FMVs. Or is it just for the full PC game not the demo?

How do you make the posessed Sligs shoot? And can you get to the Stockyards in the demo cause when I got to the end of Rupture Farms I died. You can't go any further in the demo or something? That's why I put this in the Help thread. :fuzblink:

There are no cheat codes for the PC version of AO except for "-ddcheat", but I think that only works with the full PC versions of AO and AE. A non-official view FMVs reward at the end of AO is given to you if you save all 99 muds in the full version, just like on the PSX.

In PC AO, you typically make Sligs shoot simply by pressing "Z" (or "Y" on German keyboards). The demo of AO only goes as far as the end of Rupture Farms, and the Rupture Farms level is very different to the full version, since mudokons are placed differently and there are no hidden areas.

Yeah Meech I noticed that too. xP But I don't know if I wanna try it.

I didn't manage to get further than the 3rd screen of the Stockyards in the Abe's Oddysee demo because A RED SOUL RING CAME OUT OF A LAND MINE AND BLEW ME UP! I'm serious... I red soul ring (the red energy ring which blows stuff up) came out of a land mine and exploded everything on the screen.

So I don't think you could get any further than there with out a cheat.
And you probably can't rescue all the Mudokons because some secret passages are missing in the demo... I think.

Hahaha, yeah. That’s quite a classic screen to me, that one you just described, marlz. I think Chubfish uploaded a video of it somewhere. That certainly brought the memories back. I don’t think there is any cheat to get past that screen, and if you could, it’d probably just take you to the same screenshot slideshow.

Wait...you can get to the Stockyards in the Abe's Oddysee demo for PC?
I can't cause every time I get to the end of Rupture Farms and roll to the left I die.

I've gotten past that screen via the use of Paul's level editor on the PS1 demo e1.lvl file by removing certain files for the landmines among other things(don't ask how, it was quite long and difficult D=), and the game just freezes, there is nothing on the other side.

Also OddYouko, it's the PS1 demo.

Well, in the PC demo, my dad tried the same thing and died, but it works fine with the PSone demo.

Sometimes the game glitches in places and you have to die before progressing or it will freeze. Try doing that OddYouko. :D

Yeah I saw the Ps1 demo on YouTube and someone got to the Stockyards but died because of a bomb that explodes everything including you on the screen.
