Experiencing problems
 

I'm having several problems on the site today, in the last 30 minutes or so. Sometimes the site layout is going kind of odd, as though there's a HTML error. Sometimes I'm getting a message saying I'm forbidden to access the site on this server, or to post a new thread, but then I can get it working again by closing and reopening the window. But currently, I'm unable to send PMs. I'm getting a 'Page cannot be displayed' message.

Is there a forum change going on, or is it my PC, or something else? In short, how can I send messages again?

I've been having that too. 403 Errors and what not.

Yes. No one is spared. It’s affecting the Admin Panel as much as anything. My guess is that it’s a server error, in which case all we can do is wait. If it’s not, then I have no idea what’ wrong and only Peter can tell us, in which case all we can do is wait.

Try typing in http://www.citizensiegeforums.net or http://www.wagewarsforums.net if you can't get to http://www.oddworldforums.net

Those domains are also affected, as they all point to the same directory on the server.

Anyhoo, I've contacted support, so we will have to wait until I here back from them. Additionally, I was pried away from my wine and cigarette sabbatical to deal with this - so please, shower me with praises and gifts now.

Things seem to be running OK-ish at the moment, except for PMs. I still can't send a message. But thanks for getting onto it Alcar. :)
EDIT: Actually, the problems seem to be back again now.

Sorry to double post, but this is relevant.

So the 403 errors seem to have stopped, but I still can't send a new PM, and I have only been able to successfully reply to 1. I just get the page cannot display message. When/can this be fixed at all?

Nope, I just got a bunch of 403s.

I just got a 503 service unavailable message when trying to post a new thread, as well.

We've been getting blank pages all day now. No explanation, server support are still yet to get back at me.

To be honest, I'm quite annoyed. These recent errors have occurred too often, in too short a time frame. I can understand that every server has their occasional issues, but it is getting ridiculous.

What's worse, is that we are apparently a high-load site. Which is utter non-sense, we are an extremely small site compared to the loads that other sites experience. Should it continue, I will bring it up with server support again. I hope that we don't fall prey to it again, or a change of server may be warranted.
