He also approached Rockstar for the movie rights to GTA... seriously how are you going to make a movie from something like GTA. There is only one GTA movie and that is the 8 minute intro of GTA 2.

What the heck is this petition going to do? Uwe is fully aware of the way he is seen and immediately discounts any negative opinion as being a personal, not professional, attack. This is just going to push him to make more crappy films.

Actually, I believe he said that quite some time agoo, and a petition was quickly made, he then gave the general public the middle finger, and said something along the lines of "fuck you, I don't care".
Altough this could be someone else entirley, my memory is hazy.

*Edit* I did a wiki search, and yes, it appears this is the man I'm talking about, whilst I was first impressed that he funded his own movies, I soon found out why.
Arggh, why do they keep letting him make movies, ok, he may want to do it, but can someone realy be that selfish and not see that what he wants is not what is best?

Plus he has a funny name.
