Unrecognizable disk for Stranger's Wrath
I recently bought an orginal Xbox (refurbished), for the sole purpose of playing Stranger's Wrath. I keep getting a error message that says that the Xbox can not recognize it, and to put in a Xbox disk, etc. At first I thought that the Xbox lens might be dusty or not as refubished as it should be. I checked by putting in all of the orginal Xbox games I have, and they all work without a problem. I then thought that the disk might be dirty(although I was able to find a new in the package copy for Stanger's Wrath), or the lens might be dusty. I can get it to work in a hit and miss way. So after the long introduction explaining the problem; my two questions are: 1) Has this happen to anyone else? and 2) Any suggestions on how to correct the problem?

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/back...ygameslist.htm Hope this will help you a bit. If you have Xbox 360 of course. One thing that I recommend you is that you run the game disc on another Xbox machine. Or Yty to check the disc with some tools on PC. |
Thanks for the suggestions; I will try them out.

I play Munch's Oddysee on the original Xbox; it would be nice to play it on the 360, but the sound glitches ruin it.

But back on topic. Yes, that happened to me. Try washing the disk with dish soap and not rinsing it all the way; the soap fills the cracks, making the disk smoother. If that doesn't work, try licking it. It sounds gross, but trust me, it works. |
How is Munch's Oddysee ruined?
