Favorite gaming moments.
Good lord, I can't believe this has never been done before.
Title says it all really, my three personal faves are: The house siege on Resident Evil 4, Aeris' death on Final Fantasy VII, And the first chase and bridge joust on Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. |
Walking into Andrew Ryan's office.
Convincing Saren to Kill Himself. Leaving the Vault in Fallout. Discovering the Prophecy of Nevarine in Morrowind. |
Have only played fairly recent games so I'll mention these:
Ditto the first two of Anonyman!'s list. COD 4- All Ghiled up, when the army sneaks past you. Mass effect- A certain choice on a certain planet about which party member you have to leave behind. Halo 3- The battle between two scarabs Pokemon (Blue version)- Obtaining your pokemon (I was like 7 when I first played this, and everyone I knew did it too, it brings back memories, along with captain planet. Portal- Fight with GLaDOS and ending sequence Half life two- Retaking city 17 (I was bored of this game, and stumbling through, and then It just got so much better from Nova prospect onwards, and having the rebels running around you and destroying giagantic tripods was great) I'll add more later. |

you know what he meant crablips.
Anywho, good gaming moments I can instantly remember: Flying on the dragonthing at the end of Another World. Walking in Ghostgate after the mainquest; Getting Goldbrand for the first time; Talking to Ma'iq (or whatever); All of Tribunal's main quest; pretty much all of Morrowind. I love it so much. Making the ugliest possible baby on the Sims 2. Finishing Halo 3 and believing MC was dead. Playing a level on Dungeon Keeper 2 after finishing it. Seeing Shao Kahn FUCKING EXPLODE. there are so many other wonderful gaming moments but my brain can't remember them because when I played the most games in my life was the time I smoked the most ganja, lol |
My blind knife kills in CoD4 Multiplayer.
Me playing shipment on CoD4 Multiplayer. Shooting people's heads off in fallout 2. |
The opening cinematic of Riven.
The beach assault of Halo: CE. The beach assault of Stranger's Wrath. The beach assault of Halo 3. While we're on Halo 3: -Seeing my first flood possession -Taking down my first Scarab -My first Hornet ride. Meeting the Precursors in Jak 3. Downloading (or more precisely, wielding) the Agency's Missile Launcher and the Armoured Car in Crackdown. Killing RAAM on Insane with a desperate and spontaneous grenade stick in Gears of War. Finally hooking up the HD cable and surround sound for Gears of War with the sub-woofer turned way up... |
SWAT 4: walking up to a criminal ready to cuff him, door opens and next thing i know a terrorist with an AK-47 starts firing randomly and killing me in one shot. I jumped about 6 foot in the air because it scared me so much.
Team Fortress 2: on 2fort i was on the red team's battlements as a heavy and the blu team were charging in with 2 medic and heavy combos and a pyro. I jump off the battlements and charge my minigun up while falling, as soon as I land I start firing and criting all the medics, killing them all and obliterating the heavies while the team mop up the pyro. Suffice to say, i was very impressed |
Bioshock- the opening level, seeing that blue whale swimming through the metropolotis, and a Big Daddy pass by, moaning from another tounel. The scene was amazing. :D
Halo 3- The first level, the openning was sooo cimatic, kind of cheesy, but I loved it, and then playing through the african jungle (The congo?) was amazing, the scenery and atmosphere was great, and you could really feel the moral of the marines around you, actually I loved all of the earth sequences, then again, I love africa. :D Halo 3- Fighting my first scarab, on a mongoose with a smartarse Australian/ kiwi sounding guy on the back, the dialogue alone realy added to the scene ("Go back to planet Jackass!.... Jackass!"). MO- The openning scene, with abe is his cave, I was like WOW, it was the first time, through seeing it in 3d, I thought I was inside of the oddworldian universe. The feeling lasted untill the end of the level, then I had to go, and when I came back to play it, it was gone, but it was great while it lasted. COD 4- Jumping on the helicopter, and the last scene AO- The first time I played the game, I had no sound on my computer, but I still thought it was amazing, then I played it with sound... wow, I was imidiatly imersed into the story, the darkness, the orginality, the links to our world, the rythmes, I loved it all. :D Oblivion- Entering the imperial city, and seeing people move about, conversing, and going about their daily routine, made up for my character being so ugly (No wonder you can't have a romance in the game!) Battlefront 2 (Ok, it's not the best game ever)- Shooting my way through hordes of battledroids, pushing through the swamps of fulcia (can't spell it), bogged down, and ready to die, only to see an engineer come up behind me, shooting several droids down on the way, only to come up behind me, say "I thought you'd be needing this", threw a bacta tank at me, and then a dodredica came rolling through, solutered him and my unit, yet I survived, and wipped their units out. It's unintential things like this, happening so dramatically, and cinamatically, that are so great about games, you never know what is going to happen. :D |
COD - Stalingrad as a whole.
COD2 - Truck ride with MacGregor driving, missions with Bren guns involved. COD4 - Sprinting through the capsized ship (never seen anything like it), assassination missions in Chernobyl, the nuke scene with the helicopters. F.E.A.R. - most of the 'scare' moments (elevator falling when you're crawling along the shaft wall, Alma flashing up here and there), and the final part with the underground facility and the final nuke blast. Mafia - Seeing a police car somersaulting 10 meters above my car and flying right into the river (how this happened is still a mystery, but it was awesome). UT2004 - Managing a headshot without aiming down the sight while flying across the map (jump platform). |
Last level of Reign Of Fire (playing as the dragons) and blowing up all the people.
Second level of Predator: Concrete Jungle where you have to flay the guys who stole your technology. Last level of Black and White 2 where you're town keeps getting destroyed by volcanoes (frustrating, but funny to watch the people running around on fire). And no, I'm not a fan of violance. |
Crashing into the sea in Bioshock. And waiting for the movie to continue. And nothing happens...
