Favorite AO level
 

Just out of interest, what are your favorite levels in Abe's Oddysee? I
really like Paramonia (I don't know why), and I also like Monseic Lines (because it's an easy level). So tell me your opinions, and please try to include reasons with your answers. Thanks.

I like RuptureFarms, because I like factories on Oddworld.

Paramonia.
It's fun to ride Elum there and plus it's an easy level. :)
Stockyards.
It's dark, creepy and well...I don't know why I like it so much.
Rupture Farms.
There are a lot of Sligs to possess. It's another easy level. :D

I like Rupture Farms for the same reason.

By saying RuptureFarms, I also mean the end of the game.

Scrabanian Temple. For the scrabs, y'ken.

Paramonia!!!! Mainly because Elum was fun to ride there, it was a rather peaceful-looking forest (Despite it being dangerous), and because Paramites rawk!

My second favorite would be Stockyards. Not for any good reason. Only because that's the place where all the animals are kept.

Boardroom, after that the two nests (Paramite one is better).

Because gauntlets are win.

For the past few years, my answer has invariably been the Stockyards and the Free-Fire Zone. I guess the art has a lot to do with it, I'm one of those people that can stare at the night sky for a long time and find it incredibly beautiful, and the fact that it was incorporated into the background kind of gives the level a lonely vibe, in a way. You just sort of realise the magnitude of Abe's quest, and that it actually does span across a very long time, no matter how fast you go through the level. I love to just kill all the industrial aspects in a certain area, like exploding all the mines, killing all the slogs, etc., and then just walk around staring at the scenery while listening to the music, and it just gives you this Oddworld-y feeling that can't really be described any more accurately.

Paramonia, followed shortly by the Free Fire Zone in Stockyards.

I agree with you, Skillya_glowi, about the beautiful landscapes in the stockyards and free fire-zone. I love looking at the sky in the background of that level. I think the landscapes in scrabania and paramonia are really nice as well, and i like the music.

Yeah I love the music in Scrabania. Also the background is really beautiful.

scrabania has my vote because i like destroyng mines and bombs and i also like getting destroyed by em' .

Of topic :(something funny: when i vas younger i didn't knew that you can posses the slig where the bell is :d it took me a whole day to get up on the elum. :D )

The only reason I know how to get past that bit was because my brother showed me. Then again, he did have the game before I did (for years I just had the demo).

RuptureFarms, I love the scenarios and the Zulags.

So I take it I'm the only one who liked the Nests and the Boardroom then? :p

Speed > Puzzles.

Paramonia. This is one of those places I would love to have a summer house in. I just can't get over the trees, the air and the way the industrialists haven't touched it.
Stockyards. Those background colors and the shadows are too much for me. The free-fire zone included. I can't explain it, but it's so beuatiful.
Rupturefarms is my third favorite. The opening scene with the neon sign really helps. The way the background just fits in with everything so perfectly is unbeleivable. I love those backgrounds.

Yeah, I like the Stockyards too. It reminds me of a twisted, chaotic suburb.

I like Scrabania too. I love desert/canyon environments.

I also like Paramite Stockyards and Meechonia, but they weren't included, crap!

Scrabania, Stockyards, Scrabanian Nests and the Scrabanian Temples were great, I also liked the Paramonian Nests.

Okay, I still like the Stockyards because of the canceled Paramites.

Rupture farms because I like the industrial levels the most they are the most fun and yes sligs are the most fun to possess, and there are hardly any in scrabania/paramonia.

Although I do like using scrabs and paramites to kill fleeches on exoddus (because I hate fleeches but the question was about oddysee soooo....)
Plus killing almost unlimited number of slogs is the best.

You got it exactly right. It didn't remind me of that but it fits so well.

The stockyards is creepy in yet it can be peaceful at the sametime. ;) I love it so much. I kill everything in the area and turn it up to hear the beautiful music. I'm gonna do that right now.

Damn, tough question. I guess if I had to put it to one I would say Rupture farms, I still remember playing through it when I was 7 years old, learning the ins and out of the game. Those were the days.

I love Scrabania.
