Philosopy on life

So I'm trying to skip my english class without getting in trouble so I tell my teacher that I'm part of the Tech group working on the set for the up coming musical 'Pirates of Penzance' at my school. That is all ture, but what I'm leaving out is that the set is completly ready for the performance and they don't need me. After considering my grade and the fact that I'm running out of time to turn in make up work she makes me a deal. She'll let me go to the Auditorium to work on the stage, but I have to write an essay on my life philosophy.

This was pretty surprising but my teacher tells me I'm a deep philisophical thinker and she can see me changing the world for the better... plus she wants me to graduate. So now I have all weekend to write this paper. I'm simply asking what subjects do you think I should include? I mean life philosophy... sounds like the hardest task she's given me yet. All ideas are very much appreciated.

Life philosophies are unique.

Just grow a pair and go to fucking class.

If you want a theory that is factual, but metaphorical, you might want to expand one mine:

We're stuck on the shores of Hell, and the only way out is through.

What I'm saying is that if we didn't all fear death, we'd have killed ourselves by now. We are all gonig through real Hell, and there's no way around it.

Please excuse me if you think that I'm talking a load of bullshit.

Apparently Nihilism is the new 'In' thing at the moment.

I blame the parents.

Alcar 04-10-2008 12:28 PM

Existentialism will never die!

:p

Alcar...

I agree with Hobo.

English is so easy. You can pretty much say anything has relevance and meaning to anything else about anything.

I believe that Oddworld Forums is a subtle allegory to Nazi Germany, as it features mass woman (Jew) hate. For example, Alcar is Hitler.

Strike Witch 04-10-2008 09:07 PM

So who's Churchill?

Nate 04-10-2008 10:43 PM

Leto: there's one problem with your theory. Alcar has a fetish for jews.

Rex Tirano 04-11-2008 01:46 AM

Alcar has a fetish for pretty much anything. :p

I concur. Heil Peter!

What does that make me, Rommell?

Strike Witch 04-11-2008 02:30 AM

You're the guy who built the Flying Tank.

Here's a philosophy:

Life's a bitch. Get used to it.

Or for all you positivos out there: Carpe Diem!

Wings of Fire 04-11-2008 09:45 AM

Or for all you perverts out there Carpe Papilla.

Strike Witch 04-11-2008 01:27 PM

And for everybody else, My sig.

Well, my old one. I don't know if anyone noticed, but it was Latin for "I have a catapult. Give me money or I will shoot it at you." Or something like that.

Well there are the obvious ones, life, death, love, desperation (what some people will do to survive), beliefs, and the fact that we spend our whole lives and experiance so much all on a tiny speck in the galaxy, which is an even smaller spec in the vast universe.
Or you could relise that she's probably on to you and thinks that making you contemplate life will make you realise how much of your life you are wasting skipping class when you could be learning skills you may use for the rest of your life, while at the same time, also encouraging you to graduate by saying how smart you are, and how you have so much potential.
But realy, think about WHY.
WHY do we continue to exist.
WHY is there science, religeon, wars, love, freindship, bullying, crime, you name it.
and the one your teacher most probably wants you to think about WHY are you doing this essay.

I dunno, I would take the most popular philosophies out there and and try to find one topic to make it all relevant.

I don't know what my own personal philosophy is at the moment. I considered myself agnostic for a while, but then I started leaning towards existentialism. Unsatisfied with both beliefs, I narrowed it down to one truth I can count on: when we die, either something happens or nothing happens.
