Sprite help

I plan on making a 3D'ish pacman game but I'm not very good at making the sprites. So far I found and modified some Pac-in-time stuff but the up and down movements don't animate very well. I know there's a lot of people here that's good at this stuff so if you could help that would be appreciated and if the game gets finished credit will be given.

Here's what I got that wont work:

I assume that by 3D-ish you mean a 2D game in which the characters aren't completely flat.

Why don't you just rotate the ones that move left to right to make them look like they're heading up or down?

Or is it trouble with the frames and animation that you're having?

well i kinda wanted it to look as if the game was 3d but because you could only move forward backward left and right it could be made using gmaker7. Rotating the left and right sprites would make it obviously 2d.

All i need help with is getting the hands and feet on the forward and backward (up/down) fixed because they flail when animated... if you understand...

I'm sorry, I can't help you. I'm sure someone else will be able to. I just can't understand what you're getting at.

Never mind, i'll just have pacman without arms or legs. Thanks anyway.

In the animating program or whatever you're using, I think you may not be positioning the sprites correctly in the animation, which is the only logical explanation I can think of.

Nah, I'm using mx flash, makes it pretty easy to position the sprites.

Is MX flash free for download?

Carnix 05-23-2008 01:10 AM

Hulaabeo, you can download a trial of flashmx2004 for free but 30 days aint much. I paid for the full-version software (sorta).
