I have one question...What do you think Squeek looks like??

Erm… a Fleech with wings.

A deceptively large midget with vestigial claws like a tyrannosaur.

I always pictured him to look like these which I forgot the name of: http://oddworldlibrary.net/archives/...O/RAMO0046.jpg. Only he had Munch-like feet (two of them).

A Furry Creature like a bear, but without the teeth and claws.

A way to big worm with two mandibels at his mouth.

These are larvae Meetles. Anyway we don't know what Squeek looks like. There is an answer about this argument in Q&A (I asked it) but nobody could answer. Because nobody know it.

Here how I image Squeek

Similar to a Possum
Build: Very short (less but not too much than Munch), Medium size for his race
Skin: Hairy with a grey - yellow-heart colour
Face: Medium size, similar to a squirrel! He has also a little tuft as hair
Ears: He has got "tippy ears"
Eyes: Big and oval. Black with a white pupil! They are surrounded by dark grey circle sign, those circle are connected by a "line" that starts from the nose!
Nose: Very small nose, black, without nostrils!
Mouth: Small, no lips!
Tooth: He have very small tooth, they aren't good for bite!
Arms: Normal hairy lenght for his heigth. They haven't got muscles!
Hands: Pink - brown hands with a pair of 5 fingers. He has got claws too, but they aren't good for attack; only for climb!
Legs: Normal hairy lenght for his height!
Feet: Small hairy feet, with a pair of 5 toes! Even the toes have got claws!

Other characteristic: Squeek has got a tail, it isn't hairy as his body but it is a bit slimy! The tail is a bit heavy so he can't raise it up, it must stay on the ground when he walk!
Squeek can walk with the two legs or run with the both arts (he can't run with only the legs!)!

You're all being far too literal to assume that a creature called Squeek must be small and squeeky. I'm still maintaining there'll be a fair amount of nomenclatural irony.

I take that to mean he imagines Squeek looking like you.

So, its getting a bit offtopic now, but i am surprised with so many imaginations of what Squeeks should have look like, great :)

I've tried drawing my image of Squeek. It never looked how I thought it would, but I still think it was a decent image.

I tried to keep with the trend of the Oddysee creatures and made him ugly, with many bodily creases. He would be to have small, no-toed stumps for feet (alot like Vyykers) and large arms with which he used to move himself around (like a gorilla). He'd have large eyes and long 'ears'. Like Stranger's ears, except much longer. I'm not even sure if they're ears...

I might re-draw him or try to find the last ones I drew... we'll see.

About the irony thing, might be correct if we look at Munch, he really munches at something now doesnt he? Abe, however is a serious nod to the character he's based, namely Abraham Lincoln. He was supposed to be called Abraham Lure.

I changed the name of this thread, as it is to do with Squeek as a character and not the story. Psychonaut, please refrain from double posting. And FYI, I’m still deciding whether to move this thread to Fan Corner or not.

I've completed drawing my concept of Squeek, however I'm having difficulty finding a functional scanner.

I'm just thinking, however... do you think Squeek would take the same sort of 'hairless and ugly' design as the two previous Oddworld characters? My concept goes in that direction but I'm thinking of doing another one with fur.

I think in designing Squeek, you'd need to think of the design in terms of gameplay as well. For some reason I get the feeling that, as Mudokuns are land based and Gabbits are water based, Squeek would be air based... in a way.


None of these things I'm describing have anything to do with my first concept, however if I do another, I have a pretty good idea in my head of what he should look like.

That's clearly an industrial character, and I'm not even sure that specie was supposed to be featured on Oddworld. I don't think that can be Squeek.

The heroes will always be creatures from species that we have not yet seen in any way. That's what will make them special.
