Relation between Citizen Siege and Stranger's Wrath?

Hey, I don't post here much, but I just read this on wikipedia:

:

Stranger's Wrath made itself as a fourth installation in the story of the 2009 film "Citizen Siege". Before, during, and after the plots of Stranger and his battle against outlaws, he teams with Abe, Munch, their allies, and even the human race to drive off the rest of the Glukkons and their minions before the entire universe and everything God created will be entirely in doomsday or at least, in a sadistic and wrongly altered history. Stranger's Wrath's continued storyline depends on how long Citizen Siege lasts after its released in 2009.
I'm pretty confused. I thought Citizen Siege had nothing to do with Oddworld? When does/did/will Stranger team up with Abe (it says "Before, during, and after" the plot of SW)? It doesn't make sense to me...

I'd be grateful if anyone could clear this up for me.

Of course.

The Stranger's Wrath page on Wikipedia has been vandalised. I shall remove it.

Fuzzle Guy 02-03-2008 12:25 AM

Lol, that bits been there for ages, but I didn't want to remove it in case this was some new plot I new nothing of.

Heh, yeah, what can we say? Wikipedia can be unreliable.

Wil 02-03-2008 04:08 AM

Yes, one thing is clear: there is no overlap between the settings of Oddworld and Citizen Siege. I’ve been watching the Oddworld articles on Wikipedia for a while, because I was absolutely fascinated by how incredibly dire they were. They have improved, but the registered user USA92 has been adding the most hilarious bullshit lately.

Abe and Munch may interact with Stranger at some point, as they inhabit the same country, but how, and in which particular continuity, has yet to be seen.

Xavier 02-03-2008 10:00 AM

well, that made me laugh... I never go on the Oddworld Wikipedia page, but this was really worth to read :p

Wings of Fire 02-03-2008 10:19 AM

The bad grammar was a bit of a giveaway :p.

Bullet Magnet 02-03-2008 11:05 AM

One of the pages cites this as a source.

abe is now! 02-03-2008 12:28 PM

Haha yeah, you're right. I guess that just slipped my mind since Wikipedia is usually reliable, more so than not.

Thanks for clearing that up for me everyone, at least it was a funny read :p

It is very unlikely however. Doesn't Stranger take place nearlly athousand years after the Abe games?

The abe games take place in the middle ages, yet at the end of Stranger, there is a quote, and it is dated to have come from the 20th century.

Wil 02-12-2008 04:13 PM

Stranger takes place at the same time as the Oddworld Quintology. The Quintology doesn’t take place in Oddworld’s dark ages, it takes place after Oddworld’s industrial revolution. The Glukkons’ dark ages were their Alchemy Era when they suffered what Lorne calls a ‘spiritual meltdown’.

The quote at the end of Stranger’s Wrath includes the dating 1868–1939 because Chief Luther Standing Bear is an actual person to whom the quotation is actually credited. The dates are nothing to do with Oddworld, but the quote is everything to do with Stranger.

Fuzzle Guy 02-12-2008 04:25 PM

Ah. I'd typed in the quote on google but couldn't find anything matching it for the first couple of pages so I figured he wasn't a real person (I couldn't read his name on the mov file I have of the closing video)

Then try our selection of AVIs and BIKs. :)

Fuzzle Guy 02-12-2008 04:34 PM

Thanks.

10 characters.

AbesGenerationX 02-13-2008 05:47 AM

Impossible, wikipedia some times tell lie, Stranger never met Abe.

Xavier 02-13-2008 10:48 AM

But they still could in the future...

moxco 02-13-2008 11:09 AM

Wouldn't Stranger be set a hundred or so years before MO.

I would be dissapionted if Citizen Siege would be about Stranger suddenly becoming a partner of Munch and Abe. They may live in the same world, but got different stories and have different personalities. This wouldn't go that well.

And I believe Lorne Lanning when he said "it will be a completely new universe".

Fuzzle Guy 02-15-2008 03:58 AM

:

An expatriate named Havoc returns home to find he, Abe, Munch, Stranger, Crazy Frog, Rayman, Chode, Larry the cucumber (Larry Boy), Bob the tomato, Ash Ketchum, Tai Kamiya, and the rest of their family, friends, pokémon, and digimon, have been repossesed by law
What a brilliant plot...

Bullet Magnet 02-15-2008 07:46 AM

I wonder how much Havoc is being paid?

Well Citizen Siege will take place on earth, I'm not sure that's a completely new universe :p

Bullet Magnet 02-15-2008 11:28 AM

If you prefer the multiple universes interpretation of quantum mechanics it is.
