A Slig could retire off of...

I was watching the Strangers Wrath G4 advert on the OWL, and I was thinking, that despite the difference in Gameplay, It still takes place in the same world as the first three games do (I'm not a complete dense, I did know this I'm just trying to get to my point) So, theoretically, that must mean that there are bounty hunters all over Oddworld, and even more so, all over Mudos.

We know that an outlaw is worth a hell of a lot more Alive than they are dead, so I thought, how come in Abe's Exoddus and Munch's Oddysee (even more so Munch because Abe had blown up several big company's) how come upon first sight of Abe, the first thing the Sligs think of doing is wipping out their extremely lethal machine guns and gunning Abe to death?
Surely a Slig could retire and live a long (for a Slig) and care-free life with the bounty that must be on Abe's head.

If I were a Slig who knew that Abe was currently lurking around the facility, the only things I'm carrying with me are Snuzi's and High-pressure bounty cans.

Is it because they would have to take the (alive) Abe to the Glukkon who would claim the money at the Bounty Store?
Or is it because when they retire with their moolah, their ex-boss Glukkons would hate them and have them killed in their sleep?

Discuss...

Thanks,

I never thought about it that way. But I do see your point. Maybe glukkons were afraid that Abe, being the mastermind he is, would simply escape if he was taken alive. Or maybe sligs just like killing.

Because Glukkons ≠ Clakkerz.

But it's not just Clakkerz that run Bounty Store's surely? Surely there are other creatures in Mudos that run them.

Maybe, but they wouldn’t be Clakker‐run.

The disposition of Clakkerz and Glukkons is very different.

And the respective suffering- and more importantly, personal insult- of the crimes of Abe and the crimes of the outlaws is also very different.

The Glukkons do not care whether Abe is caught dead or alive; a slig would recieve the same reward either way. I suspect that sligs operate less on greed for a reward than fear of what retribution will occur to them if Abe causes havoc in an area they're meant to be protecting.

Think of it as the Gluckons and sligs more as police and the authority, whilst the bounty stores are more Clakkerz trying to get ridd of the people troubling them, since they have no real police so to speak, or bounty hunters act as a force outside of the law.
It's probably not ethical that a bounty hunter is sent by Glockens and sligs, and their type of industrialists, who are the ones who want to go after abe, maybe if it was kept quiet it would happen, and they wouldn't let the Clakkerz take care of it anyway.
As for a slig doing it, as I said, they're like police, so they have to take care of abe anyway, preferably dead, since he always manages to escape.
The big difference is bounty hunters have a choice (so to speak, Stranger didn't realy), but police/ security officers like the sligs don't.
That being said, a slig wouldn't become a bounty hunter, becuase they're liscenced to the Gluckons.
