They say he overdosed on Sleeping pills, possibly.

SMH is reporting it was illegal drugs. NBC says the pills were peppered around his bed. I think I'll abstain from making judgment until more facts pour in.

It's tragic, but at least he finished Batman.

I hate to admit it, but my first thought when I found out was,

"Oh god did he finish Batman before he died?"

Horribly childish of me, but it sucks he's dead. I'll bet you Mary-Kate Olsen had something to do with this.

Shame though, he was a good actor.

Condolences to his family, because we know how much they'll ease the pain.

I had no goddamn idea that he was playing the joker.

I only really felt sympathy when he talked about how he would be happy if he died because he could live through his child, it was in the interview with him about the Bob Dylan movie.

I actually thought "I hope they finished Batman" aswell. Possibly becaue I know how many millions of dollars it will cost the studio to reshoot all his scenes with a new actor, or how much it would hurt what will probably be a good movie by having the rewrite it around his death.

Apparently, it was an "accidental" overdose. Yes. "I accidentally swallowed the whole jar."

IMDB claims it's in post-production, so relying on the credibility of IMDB, the movie should be okay.

And, new information reports that he had pneumonia. Apparently the sleeping pills can turn lethal with pneumonia.

No, I heard the same thing as mudling; that he was so stressed out by playing the Joker that he was having trouble sleeping, so he got a prescription for sleeping pills which did bad things to his pneumonia.

mudling never mentioned suicide. It was the role that lead to his death, as he was depriving himself of sleep for it, and then after the filming, he couldn't get back into his normal sleep patterns.

Definitely RIP, but I must admit, first thing I worried about was if the movie was finished filming.

It's strange, the night he died, I was walking around as usual, when all of a sudden I felt my heart sink and I could no longer walk from intense, inexplicable grief. Coincidence?

But seriously, for the record, it does suck that he died. He was one of the few big-time actors whose performances I enjoyed.
