That's all very well and good, but:
People are less likely to help you if you make it difficult to be understood or appear to be a spammer. Alcar... |
Is it overlapped like mine? You can still see abe round a black rectangle?
|
NO I CANNOT IT JUST GOES STILL WILL NO ABE
IS THERE ANY WAY I GOT A LOW GRAPHIC CARD BUT I STILL CAN PLAY GAMES! |
:
Anyway.. did you try running it with win2k or xp compatiblity modes? |

oh well i am getting a new computer so i might work on there
|
All new pc's seem to have vista, so you'll prob be in the same situation, unless you dual boot with win xp, or even just xp since vista still sucks right now. (or again, the virtual pc option)
|
Actually, this is the first case we've heard of regarding someone having problems with vista. He may well be fine with a new computer.
|
Hmm maybe he just needs to run windows updates or get vista fixes for his graphics card or something then?
|
thanks anyway when i get my new comp which has 512grapic card it should work
the comp i'v got now has a 1.0 rating from vistaso probibaly that is why it does not work thanks for your help! |
I think Vista is too good to play OddWorld games on it.
|
You may want to rephrase that so it doesn't look like you're dissing Oddworld
|
NO WAY ODDWORLD IS THE BEST!
|
He might've meant that Vista is a totally new OS, meaning you'd have difficulties playing games back from... '98? Mostly like XP and some old games.
Dissing Oddworld is another possibility... |

The new Ease of Access Center in Windows Vista provides a convenient, centralized place to locate accessibility settings and programs to make your computer easier to use. The Ease of Access Center includes quick access to common tools, a questionnaire to get recommendations for accessibility settings and tools, and the ability to explore all accessibility settings in seven categories. The Ease of Access Center can be found in the Control Panel in Windows Vista or by selecting Windows logo key+U. The Ease of Access icon is also available when you are logging into Windows Vista. The Ease of Access Center replaces the Accessibility Wizard and Utilities Manager in previous versions of Windows.

there are still many things that need fixing in vista, your best bet would be to wait untill they release the service pack for it, if all else fails, try XP
|
I never got that problems on my Windows Vista laptop, with Oddworld Abe's Oddysee.
You should use Windows XP (Service Pack) 2 compatibility mode, I'm sure it will work. Update: Once I've used Virtual PC 2007 to play Abe's Exoddus, it worked on a Windows 98 system. |
