CS (game) 3rd or 1st party?
I'm pretty sure this thread hasn't made before. Anyway since OWI is retired from the game industry that means the next OW games might be produced by a 3rd party deplover, and somehow the idea bothers me. And Since the game of CS will be based on a movie it MIGHT be licensed (and that's the synonym of a bad game).
Those are just doubts, and like i said, it could be true. (Excuse if my english isn't very fluid :l ) |
The bulk of the work done on ALL future Oddworld productions, based on the current system, will be made by third parties. Oddworld Inhabitants in now a company devoted to their intellectual property, a machine churning out ideas, concepts, art, and turning into coherent stories to tell in various mediums.
However, they will have an integral part to play at every step of development for films and games, making sure that they go down as they would were they developing internally. Oddworld's name will be accompanied by that of another developer on the finished product, but they will have both worked on it as hard as each other. Like the algal and fungal cells that are intimately intertwined to form lichen (obligatory Bullet Magnet-esque biological analogy). |

Sorry, coulkdn't help myself OW has been through alot, I believe they won't suffer from any worse mistakes than they have in the past, I'm confidant that even if they are done by 3rd party developers, they've just created the body, but OWI will give it it's soul. so don't worry. I'm sure OWI will pull this off. |
