Problem with OW on vista
 

I just used AE on vista, and it runs, not if full screen, but centre screen, and the outline is black... can someone help here?

NOTE: I'm Using A laptop with Vista ultimate

Are you using an LCD or CRT monitor?

Vista is a crap system, there is to many errors.

In any case, I firmly believe that 90% of computer errors can be solved by upgrading the user.

Please, post a screen: I used AE on Vista too and I didn't get any error. Perhaps I can help you.

If I understand him correctly, there was no error. It's just that Vista only displayed the game at the 640X480 resolution, rather than enlarging it to fill the monitor, thus causing a wide black outline around the gamescreen. I'm sure there must be some settings in the shortcut properties to change that.

Ah, thanks nate, it was because it was running on 64 bit ;)

Why would that even make any diffrence when the game is 32-bit? (that means it HAS to run in 32bit mode )
Actually if you have a 64bit OS I don't think 32bit exe's even run?

Yes, 32 bit programs still run as the 64 bit machine codes are backwards compatible.

Problem with ao on vista too!!
 

I'v got vista upgrade and i installed ao exoddus and it loads but when it comes to the game level it shows the background but no abe and when i pass the screen the background stays the same but i can talk and say some abe voice i need help
