What does everyone use and why?

I'm a facebook bloke, but I am it's 'prime' audience apparently, white university student from a fairly well off background. The complaints I hear about Facebook are mostly from cretinous Myspace dwellers who cry 'But you can't change your background!'

Seeing as Myspace profile tend to crash both my desktop and my laptop I assure you that issue means nothing to me.

I adore Facebook because you can’t change your background. Yes, I use it. I have a number of you added as friends. I also technically have a MySpace page, but I hardly ever use it.

I've had a bad experience with Facebook since I joined it but iut hleps me keep in touch with a lot of moved-away-or-live-far-away friends.

I fall into the exact same category.

Wil, I know you're going to cry when I tell you this, but the next release of vBulletin allows you to alter your profile page similar to MySpace :p

Just thought I'd give you guys a warning in case you didn't know.

Once you sign up to Facebook, you agree to the following:

They can use whatever you put in(be it personal info, pics or whatever), for whatever they want.

They could use your info for market research, but they could also sell your pic to companies who would like to use it for ads and stuff.

I'm not sure if they've changed that. But it was recently all over the news in Denmark.


Of course it's just a warning. keep using it as you like :)

It is lucky, then, that you will be disabling this feature and never, ever permitting it to be used by anyone at all. :)

I use all three :D Bebo mainly for my online friends and Facebook for my offline friends.....I do have a myspace it's just hidden somewhere in my 300 or so unread email messages :p.

(Note: This is technically my first post ever, please refrain from blocking me....yet)

Also I use pictures of wolves and this drawing that is my avatar that was drawn for me by my girlfriend as my profile picture on such social networking sites to avoid the problem of 40+ year old sickos getting excited over my beautiful visage.

And as far as the demography goes I'm teh white working class senior schoolboy so God knows what compelled me to join you snobs on Facebook :p

I use Bebo and Facebook. Bebo more than Facebook though. I only use the sites to keep in touch with friends.

I'm the same as Max; I use facebook regularly to keep in contact with my various international friends and I also have a myspace that has zero information on it - I only signed up to see a friend's photos that he wanted to show me.

I'm a boring MySpace member with a boring background. FaceBook is just too much for me.

All of them fancy members with their fancy book learnin' ways of talkin don't jive with me. No sir, it don't rightly jive at all.

I use Bebo, but I have a Facebook account, which I never use because of those awful application notices. It's far too complicated for me to enjoy using, so I stick to Bebo, I only really made the account for Hobo, but I don't really know how to communicate with him on it anyway...
