MO : Getting past wooden barriers on various levels?
I've noticed several wooden barriers on levels that seem to be blocking areas that we are not supposed to be at. However, I really want to get to those places. Anybody know of a way to get past the barriers? BTW, I hate Halo 2 for making me want to get to hidden areas in every damn game I play. |
Wooden barriers? I'm not sure what you're talking about; maybe take a photo of your screen.
Unless we're talking about a door with chant circles in front; in that case, just round up some muds and get them to open it. |
EDIT: OH CRAP! I didn't mean for the pictures to be so damn big! Sorry!!!! Anyone know how to make a thumbnail?
Lol. Sorry for my lack of good description capabilities. Here's what I mean by....... http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...nshots1003.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...nshots1002.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...nshots1001.jpg The first picture is on Spooceshrub Forest, the last two are on Brewery To Be. |
Maybe with some really skilled jumping you can get the last two. I doubt it though, if you get in there you'll probably end up in a glitchy area with no floor.
My guess is you'll eventually fall to your death if you go to far. |
Well, I attempted to jump over them, and it seems to be that OWI threw some invisible walls at the top of the barriers, just to be safe. BTW, those arn't the only barriers, there is a crapload on Mudokon Fortress and a couple other areas.
Well, thanks for the assistance! |
They are just level borders, you can't get past them.
|
In the Scrab Run, there you can get Abe to walk across the wooden gates of the Scrab enclosures if you’re very careful (and patient). Once he’s across, though, there is no floor, and he falls to his death. The same will happen even if you managed to get past these wooden barriers. I very much doubt OWI put anything behind the levels that we still haven’t discovered or been told about.
|
Oh well.
I asked OWI about hidden things in levels, and they said something along the lines of "we were going to put stuff like that in, but we didn't have the time." |
:
& upload your pictures there. They have a picture resizing tool. |
Lol. I use photobucket. Didn't realize photobucket resizes photo, I'll go do that.

There are a few in‐level Easter Eggs. Elums. Slig bunks. Hint flies. The marching Slig video.
|
I know of all of those....... except the hint flies and slig bunks. Where are those at?
|
Elums. Slig bunks.
There are Elums in the game? I have beat the game 5 times or so and I have never seen an elum. Also, sorry for my stupid question, but what are slig bunks? XD |
The hint flies are flying amongst the trees at the start of Mudokon Pens. The Elums are on the tables in Vykkers Suites. The Slig bunks are in the room Abe and Munch transport to right at the very end of the Loading Dock.
|
Those things you're trying to get past is just the end of the level, they have that instead of just "air/sky" to make the world seem more real
|
Wow. I've just realized that I've seen the hint flies before, but just thought it was some
crazy scenery put in by OWI. Thanks for the help! |
Although your problem has been resolved, I want to say that those barriers can't be passed: as in the Dead River Munch can't swim in the river at the beginning of the level, Abe can't pass the barriers. In some levels I remember that Abe can go on those barriers but he can't go forward: I saw a place over them, but it was't a place of the game. Excuse if this message is so "contorted".
|
Abeisnow why do you bother to answer a problem that everyone knows the answer to already
|
I want to explain what I think, Hobo.
|
Maybe I should explain what I think eh?
|
for the sack of civility please don't otherwise most of this thread would be full of swear words and porn
