Writers strike.

Anyone have any shows they like that they think will be put in stasis because of the writers strike?

I don't think the new season of Battlestar Galactica was finished and this may put the show on hiatus. Which sucks.

Salamander 11-19-2007 05:29 PM

The Daily Show is on hold. Apart from that, I wouldn't know.

OANST 11-19-2007 05:37 PM

Don't forget The Colbert Report. I watch that more than The Daily Show.

Mac Sirloin 11-19-2007 05:57 PM

The Office, My Name Is Earl, maybe House, apart form that I am pretty much open.

Havoc 11-19-2007 06:10 PM

I have no idea what shows will be affected by it. Daily talk shows I guess but I don't watch those anyway. Things like Prison Break have their mid season break coming up anyway so not a very big problem there, question is if they will be returning on schedule or not...

Disgruntled Intern 11-19-2007 07:03 PM

As a new Battlestar addict, I'm feeling rather anxious.

What will Lost have to rip off now?

Strike Witch 11-19-2007 09:51 PM

Heroes has lost some eps.

My Name Is Earl

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Not 'My name is Earl'! somebody is going to get sued.

Rupture Farms 11-19-2007 11:53 PM

The Simpsons.

Apparently you can buy a box of pencils to support them.

maybe House.

NOOOOOOOOOO

Disgruntled Intern 11-20-2007 12:25 PM

Does House even need a writing staff?

I figured it was just a bunch of interns with a medical encyclopedia and the same premise for every episode: "Mystery illness. Apparently unsolvable. No, wait. House will save the person. And mock others."

I'm surprised the show has lasted this long.

Rupture Farms 11-20-2007 12:57 PM

Me too.

Damn, it has to be ten characters...

You have summed up the shows synopsis, but then again, couldn't the same thing be said about Prison Break?

Bullet Magnet 11-20-2007 03:57 PM

Congratulations, you have just summed up the nature of every self-contained narratively episodic drama ever made.

Of course. I never claimed to be a fan of Prison Break, either.

Havoc 11-20-2007 04:29 PM

Season 3 of Prison Break is boring as hell. Season 1 was great though, no contest.

As for House, the only reason I watch that show is because I love his witty sarcastic humor.

OANST 11-20-2007 04:59 PM

I couldn't stand the first season of Prison Break. I haven't watched beyond that. I have never seen House and I don't intend to.

Mac Sirloin 11-20-2007 06:44 PM

Just record one epsiode, and then redub it with different diseases.

Bullet Magnet 11-20-2007 06:49 PM

That just takes away its soul! (that soul being the merciless screwing over of Wilson in ever more imaginative and unfortunate ways).

Disgruntled Intern 11-20-2007 09:52 PM

I like Wilson's eyebrows.

Hugh Laurie is really funny in house :tard:

"oh by the way there is a bullet in him"

"he was shot?"

"no Someone through it at him"

i loled

Strike Witch 12-05-2007 03:09 AM

So funny, ne ?

Seriously, House got boring after the first 50 humorous cases.

Not to mention for all his hilarity, he's a total bastard and you feel sorry for the people working with him.

Havoc 12-05-2007 03:54 AM

Not really.

Hobo 12-05-2007 09:09 AM

House is awesome. It's well written and is one of the few programmes of its kind i can bare watching

Havoc 12-06-2007 03:30 PM

You mean hospital shows? Yea most of them are lame unless it's real life. It's always fun to see how stupidly people can hurt themselfs.

Bullet Magnet 12-06-2007 04:40 PM

The writers' strike ceased to be funny immediately after episode eleven of Heroes aired.

Agreed! This strike is driving me crazy 24 won't air until the fall, same with Volume 3 (Season 2 part 2) of Heroes and only half of the 16 episodes of LOST will air if this doesn't end soon. It's kind of sad just when I started enjoying some great television programming again, this strike began. Plus, in an election year for the U.S. no Daily Show or Colbert is torture.

House is very well written and even though its a very predictable formula I've always been more interested in the interactions of the characters besides the hilarity of Dr. House himself. Also, the story lines that carry over keep me invested otherwise I would have stopped watching a long time ago.

Laser 12-16-2007 04:15 AM

the only other hospital proram i can watch is Green Wing

Just thought i would say my opinion...
