FUD TV
I asked to OWI what is FUD TV and they said me it is a commercial movie. I asked where can I download it and they said me I can take it in the OWF. Were they right? Can I get the movie in the forum? Or does anyone know a link where can I find it? This is not a priority for me, so if you don't know nothing abou it I will not worry . And I ask to you (especially to mods) to don't anger with me, because I don't know if this is spam or others bad things.

Sadly, we don’t yet have Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus – The Movie available for download. I believe Xav has plans to make it so, but not immediately.
"Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus - The movie"? So FUD TV is in the oddworld ovie, that will be developed after Citizen Siege (perhaps)?
We don’t know what will be in the first Oddworld feature film, but what you’ve been talking about is just a short film that OWI put together with material from Abe’s Exoddus connected together with a field report from a Mudokon reporter working for F.U.D. T.V. The basic premise is that the FMVs from Abe’s Exoddus are actually videos that Abe sent to the F.U.D. Network to expose the use of Mudokon bones in SoulStorm Brew, which was hitherto not public knowledge.
It was given a localized theatrical release (just in San Luis Obispo, was it?) which qualified it for Academy Award nomination. It didn’t win, but it was the first video game to be nominated. |
yep I have plans, can't say I'm working on it I have way too much work :(
Thank you for informations, but I didn't understand if the movie exist now or if it has to be created.
It exists, it was released to cinemas near the PC and PSX release of AE. However, it seems OWI misplaced it, as have not made it easily available for fans, and only a few lucky people (here's looking at you, Xavier) have got copies.
I ask to Xavier: can you in the future give me the movie?
The Movie will be made downloadable for everyone, I just don't have time to figure everything out now. You will have to wait till they stop killing me at uni.
Poor you. But I want ask you a thing again: is te movie related to the game? For example could be it tied to M.O.M. news or anything of AE or is it a seconded movie?
It has all of the AE FMVs that are in the canonical storyline, plus some linking sequences to give them some coherency, namely, FUD TV (something I think should have been in the MO backstory).
:
He's saying that it should have been the MO backstory, instead of the crappily edited version that they did have.
Excuse me, but you mean this www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY66HnF5Pbgor for the crappily version?
Your link doesn't work, he is talking about this one:
http://oddworldlibrary.net/archives/...intro+back.mpg |
I saw it. It is the Back Story of MO. But why did you say it is a crappy, Max the Mug?
Nate said it was crappy, not Max...
and perhaps he said it because he felt it could have been done better. |
:
I like the Back Story of MO, I don't understand why Nate said it is crappy. But can FUD TV be put in future Oddworld Back Story, maybe in the Oddworld Story that will be released after Citizen Siege? |
Well, it did miss out some entertaining Glukkon sequences, and some of the scenes were out of order.
Worse was the AO backstory. They didn't even get the end! |
You are right, Bullet Magnet. And in the AO Back Story they met some scenes! But can anyone answer to my previous question, please? I'm inetersted. Thank you very much!!!
LOL!!! |
Er... the answer is a definite and resounding "maybe".
Thank you. But I think there are others notions about it. No?
:
It didn't reveal too much about the plot though. But then, its predecessor was still widely available...
:
When AE came out, AO was still sold by retailers. So though the AE backstory didn't give very much in the way of backstory, it did advise the player to go buy AO if they hadn't already, which was feasible at the time. Because of the lack of a big "2" in the title, people may not have known that AE was a sequel when they bought it.
So in AE the backstory suggested to the people to buy AO and it was an explanation of the story, because Abe talked and explained it. In MO the backsotry was only an assembly of some scenes of the previous games. Am I right?
It wasn't exactly Abe's voice. It did explain the premise of the mudokons in Rupture Farms going on the menu, and that Abe has to help them. There was game footage to show what it was like (odd, since it's almost identical to that of AE) and did say that bad things happened to bad quarma players, but did not elaborate on the plot. And while AO was still in the shops, why should it?
:
Ok, but the voice looks like abe's voice in AE!!! But it explained (not much, but it did it) the story... only the most important scenes. It explained the gamespeak too.
