Oddysee/Exoddus - PS vs. PC
 

What do people prefer, the Playstation versions, or the Computer versions?

Obviously, I'm going to go with the PS versions, because I don't own any computer versions.
What I've gathered from my short experience of playing the PC games, combined with several screenshots featured on this Forum, is that the PC versions have less visual quality, but more detail.

Another reason I'm choosing PS, is because almost every game I've ever played on my computer has stuffed up. I don't know why, but neither of my computers like having games played on them. The games pause, and freeze all of the time.
That, and because I generally don't like the idea of playing games on my computer; they use up precious disk space, and are generally a lot more complicated for me. :fuzsmile:

I like the idea of just having a PS controller in your hand; no tiny on-screen buttons, just Abe and his oddysees..

I prefer the PS version because the grafic is better than PC grafic. Also in the PS version there is the Guardian Angel movie! I played AO and AE before in PS1 and then in the PC AO, but I like only the PS version.

I have them on PS, and the controls feel so natural to me. I never make controller-errors.

I think the PS1 version of AO and AE are better than the PC version of them because playing AO on PC I note that PC graphic is not like the PS1 version. Perhaps because I downloaded the game.

I have to say the PS version. It has better graphics (or so I hear), I'm used to the controls (like Bullet Magnet, I never make controller-errors), and, well...that's about it, really!

How bad is the PC graphics really? I have never seen the playstation game.
Can you post some screens or something so I can see for myself?

PC version, I played on that first and I never could handle the PS controls after that.

Wha.. i thought everyone was gonna vote pc!?!?, well i like the both but the PC has trainers, save editors and ddcheat ;)

But the PS Version, i never make mistakes so 50:50 and also the PS version started it all for me :D

Why don't you play the PS version? Is very good!

The PC version looks worse because PC's have MUCH higher resoultion than the PS. The PC version runs at 640x480 and the PS version runs at an ugly 320x240

I prefer the Playstation version due to the controls. But graphics-wise I prefer playing it on my beautiful flat-screen monitor.

PC, altough I've only played oddysee, and it is sadley scratched.
I can't handle the ps controls, when I played it, altough I managed to find ways to get through the level, that no one else could do, and I was like 10, lol.

The PC version of AO came with that cool Desktop Theme so the PC one ain't that bad

I don't know... ps version doesn't have the ddcheat function, but I can play it on my pocket pc using fpsece emulator :D ... I just love both version

I vote PC, Becuase I don't have the PS version because I don't have the PSONE.

I don't have neither XboX nor PS. but I have both AE and AO on PC so that's I vote for. (and IMHO the gamepad controls are awful)

Ehm, Excuse me. I suggest him to play AO and AE because is funnier than the PC versions.

No no, I mean AO and AE for PS1 are more funnier than AO and AE for PC. For example in AO for PS1 there is the Guardian Angel movie. And the graphic is better!

The Guardian Angel movie isn't particularly part of the game. I doubt he'd want to buy the PS version just for that one movie.
And no, the graphics aren't exactly better. It depends on the TV you're playing on.

yeah if you played it on a HDTV i bet it would look really bad

Yes, but the Guardian Angel is very good and the PS1 version doesn't occupy spaces on your PC, because you use it on PS1 :D
And I played the PC version of Abe's Oddysee on PC and it was very bad about graphic, perhaps because it was a downloaded game. For example watching the Abe's moon on the PC I watched the lights when the BigFace appeared where "squared" and the colours were not defined.

It'll just be your PC then. The PC and PS versions have the same graphics quality.

Yes, but it was a downloaded version... and the screenshots that I have got of the PS1 version are better than the screenshots of the PC version.
So there isn't anything to do: I prefer the PS1 version!

It being a downloaded version shouldn't matter.

Perhaps, but my downloaded version was very bad. Believe me, I played an AO with a terrible graphic. I don't know why. I downloaded another AO in Italian with the English effect and sounds!!! So, downloading games, it's possible to take error and false.

Hey this shall be important.I prefer PC version because:
-I have seen PS version and its not big diffrence about graphics
-You can use ddcheat and it_is_me_your_father cheat
-I think on PC it's easier to play(<--spam)
-You don't have to take the tv to other in family so they can watch movie and you can play(with PS if you don't have 2 TVs this can't be...)
