I'm confused by the ending, most probably because I couldnt understand most of the dialogue through my shitty speakers (subtitles will be for the next time through). "We'll make it" cuts to "117", so assumedly he doesn't. Still, that's the part that I'm confused.

And thank you Sgt Johnson, for proving in the end, the black guy does always die.

Clearly nobody cares about what Mojo says. And who should. This is the way it should be.

You know, I've aquired through the course of the game one skull and one armour permutation - the scout helmet, which I have no idea how I got...

I just played it, it felt like Halo 2 at first, but then I got ahold of the Brute chopper and, well....:D

The end feels way more Halo 1 (which is a supergood thing!)

And just read online about getting the other armor permutations: fuck. a) I hate live, and b) I don't have live. That's total anus.

That part scared me. I had no idea the Monitor would freak out.

I hated the monitor in Halo 1, if it could kill a well trained space marine then why not SOME FUCKING ZOMBIES!?

Watching after the credits is worth it if you want closure that Chief isn't dead.

Yeah, watched it before I read that post. And it's rather funny it says I've completed the last level on Legendary, because I started from Recall Alpha point or whatsits and just legged it to the warthog.

The monitor freaking out did not sway me, I didn't expect it but it wasn't a very emotional experience.

Bullets don't work! I ran out of all clips for both weapons! O thnx jonsin.

I was kind of bewildered when that happened - mainly because I din't have the faintest idea how I would go about killing him (anyone playing The Library on Legendary will appreciate this) - but when I noticed the dropped laser, I knew if any weapon could do it...
Yeah, that was fun.

So, if humans were the Forerunners, how does that make sense? Obviously it wouldn't fit in with evolution and things...I suppose some got to the milky way galaxy to Earth, or were sent there as babies, before the Halo's were fired.

That ending is a sorta cliffhanger though...Halo 4!? Unlikely, but...
Maybe halo 3 is purely the trilogy of that story arc, and after that something different begins, maybe not involving Flood, but something else.

Or um... Halo Wars maybe...

I don't really know about "more" after Halo 3. All that could really happen is Master Chief being saved, and Cortana dieing since she has 7 years to live. But that's also unlikely, since Cortana can make clones of her self that let her live for several more years, but sacrifices part of her knowledge. The Covenant somewhat made peace with the humans, and the Flood can only return if an idiot releases them on another Halo, which I highly doubt.

Unless, of course, there's another violent alien species out there.

Keep in mind that Bungie originally created two Mac games called Marathon, And they take place a solid (3)00 years before the Halo games, but you played as a mark IV spartan with Mjolnir armour...

Something tells me that they'll make a game, and though Chief may not be the main character, it will still be part of the Halo universe.
I am hoping Chief will be, though, as much of a Freeman Freak as I am, I want to play more of Chief, the Guy is fucking epic in scales I can't even convey.

Just finished the game. Liked the ending. For a minute there I was like: They killed him? Lame? But knowing from Halo 1 and 2 there prolly was something after the credits and haha there was :).

There won't be another Halo game I think. Bungie said very very very clearly that this was the last part of this trioligy. They will probably make more games related to the universe, but not continueing this story. I do however think we will see more of Master Chief, whenever that may be.

Yep, me too. I loved the final level, made me think about The Maw <3.

I used Johnsons Spartan Laser against Spark. Can't recall the second weapon, me thinks Brute Shot (Which is ACE against the Flood, think of it as a neverdraining Plasma Sword.).
Did you try a Prowler/Scorpion with 2 (or more) guys having a Rocket Launcher/Fuel Rod Cannon? Hammering away at a Wraith from far away was FUN!

I liked Spark. He was funny, I didn't want to kill him :(. Well I used pretty much every last single bit of ammo on him before I saw the laser on the ground. That did the job real quickly.
I used to just circle a heavy armor vehicle with a wharthog and keep on doing so untill the guy in the back did enough damage for it to go boom. Somehow I don't think I'll get away with that in Legendary mode though :P.

Just beat it and I liked the ending. Never expected so many people to die, my favorite level has to be The Covenant, I don't know what about it it is, but I love that level. Im kinda pissed off at the achievement point system, in the level Cortana, some jackass quit right before we got to her, so my friend started it at rally point alpha, now I have to beat that level again, if I am going to get the achievements.

Likewise, actually. That's what freaked me out the most.

Is that the level where you have to go trough the Flood ship for the second time to actualy find Cortana and not the message? I HATE THAT PLACE! How anoying can a level be :p.

It looked like a honeycomb to me... Wasn't it supposed to be a Carrier and High Charity (in THAT order)?

Did you guys liked the new Spider/Turret/Berserker Flood?

Also, I really had to laugh when I saw the first Suicide Grunt XD.
