The Terrible Return of 'Who Wants to Make a Comic?'
 

So yeah, back in '06 T-Nex created a thread called 'Who wants to Make a Comic' and, after it was over, I promised to relaunch it some time.

Then I promptly forgot.
Until today!

So here it is, 'Who Wants to Make a Comic' Version 2.

The rules:
I take 6 people (probably the first 6 people to apply here) to each make a panel of a comic.
The first person makes the first frame of a comic based on the theme stated below. Once complete, they send their frame to the second person on the list, and to me. The second person then makes the second frame of the comic, following on from the first person's. They then send their frame, and ONLY their frame, to me, and to the next person on the list.
Person number three makes their frame based on the one they recieved from person 2, and then sends their frame to me, and to person 4.
And so on until we reach person 6, who finishes the comic. Hopefully we should end up with something rather funny.

You can draw by hand or by computer. The image must be no larger than 1000x1000, so be careful if you're drawing it by hand. I probably won't be participating unless I'm needed to fill up a space.

So if you're interested, post here and I'll add you to the list. Please be aware that you can't PM attachments, so you'll either have to email the pictue or put it on an image hosting website. The first 6 to apply will get in and can choose which position they take (first, second fourth and so on), but anyone else will be put on a waiting list and allowed to participate if anyone drops out (which is very likely if the first version is anything to go by).
The theme of the comic, chosen by opening a random book on the shelf in front of me, opening it to a random page and choosing the first word I saw, is 'whistling'.

Heh, sounds like fun. I think, I'm gonna join that.
Can I take the second position? Or maybe the third. This week I'm very busy with other stuff to do... stupid job.
Oh, and is there a rule of how many panels are allowed?

It all depends on what the first person decides. The first panel can be anything, as long as it involves whistling in some way. Check out the previous thread; that might answer some questions.

I wouldn't mind being 2nd on the list. This week'll be a bit busy for me, with studies and a comic for dA (Yes, SM, that one). I don't want to hold up the proccess until I'm done with all that.

Then how about being the 1st one of the list? You can choose the characters when you start the story, it's random anyway.

Oh okay...And the theme is 'whistling'? So...*brainstorms* I could do somethin' like that...I'll go and experiment with ideas.
EDIT: Um, can I be number one then?

Yay! I have a few questions though;
1) for 'whistling' can it be one of the other types of 'whistling'? like the plural types, or single like a 'whistle' or...?
2) also, is the picture surposed to be coloured?

So now we got three artists...

What about you Splat? Will you join too?

Probably not this time, though if we strugle for members I will.

Pictures don't have to be coloured, again if you look at the previous 'Who wants to make a comic' thread you'll see that is the case.
And you may interpret 'whistling' any way you want. The word itself doesn't have to appear. It merely has to be a plot point

ah, good good! I think I might of finished mine, and it does have colour...AND whistle in it...so yay me!

Like it! Count me in! Just a few questions first:

- Each person makes one what? Frame as in one image or Panel as in one string of images?
- Do the graphics have to be the same as the previous person? Like if the person before me did 8-bit I could go into detail if I wanted?

Other then that I'm in! Don't much mind where you put me just count me in!

At least two of your three questions could be answered by checking the end of the last thread. You don't have to read it all, just the finished result at the end.

But to answer, ideally just make one frame, one image, scene, whatever.
No, you can do anything you want; the style doesn't have to follow. In the previous thread it changed very dramatically between the first two frames.
If the first person does 8-bit, you can do whatever you want. You can scrape it on a piece of wood with charcoal and beetle guts if you really felt the urge and your scanner could cope with it. Hand drawn, painted, computer drawn, we're not fussy. That's the fun of it.

You are counted in. Do you want to be fourth, fifth or sixth, or do you have no preference at all?

OK cool. No, I still don't have any preferences, just put me where is most convenient for you.

SInce things have slowed down I gave in and just added myself to the list.

When are we going to start because it dosn't look like we're ganna get a final person to join in and if we don't do somthing this thread is ganna die.

Carnix was under the list because he hadn't selected a position. However, I have now moved him to fifth place.
