Is it worth buying Xbox 360?
 

Please can anyone tell me if it is worth buying xbox 360 and if munch's oddysee and stranger's wraith work on it (on xbox 360).I'm thinking about buyng it so i can play theese games...and 1 more question... anyone know the price of new xbox 360 in the shop?

Xbox 360 has gone down to the Wii's price, £179.99. I believe MO works on it, though the sound's supposed to be iffy...oh, and Halo 3.

I honestly can't tell you if a 360 is worth it because it all depends on how you use it.

I can, however, tell you that I'm quite happy with mine.

Wait till they start putting the new chips in, they should fix some of the hardware failure.

Also, as to the update, all it did to mine was eat all my other games updates.

I'm willing to buy it just to whore out on Halo 3, and eventually Halo Wars. Halo 3 has gourgeus grapics, and the cinematic scenes from Halo Wars are just like it's straight out of a movie. *drools*

Xbox 360 is exactly the same as Xbox with a few new games, slightly better graphics and more costly. Don't buy it except if you are a Halo/Gears of War fanboy.

Hmm, I want one, however my mum, xbox hater and control freak isn't letter me get one, however, I first have to convince her that my house wont get trashed if I have a party, and then I can try to convince her to let me get one, lol.

And I suppose the PS3 is completely different?



Although, I would like a PS3 just for the quality games that are going to come out (Little Big Planet, Force Unleashed, etc. etc.,) and for some of the games that have already come out (Mainly, Shadow of the Colossus.)

360>PS3. The 360 already has quite alot of games you can get stuck into (Gears of War, Viva Pinata, Battle for Middle Earth 2, etc.) whilst the PS3 has very few games and most of the titles promised don't come out until atleast 08.

Is that why most of the people who bought Xbox 360s didn't have an Xbox.

Do you REALLY expect Sony to come out of the market with a year's worth of great games?

I mean, yes, the PS3 doesn't have much compared to the 360, but that's because the 360 came out nearly an entire year before it.

But Sony really did kick themselves in the arse with that price...and no one really cares for blu ray, either...that's why more GBA's are still selling than PS3's (really).

360's price has gone down to £180 recently, and I want one partly also because I never had the original Xbox.

And obviously Halo. If you own a 360 and aren't getting Halo 3, well...there isn't such a person. in existence, even.

It's all about what games exist on each platform, and which you want to play. Don't get caught up in the fanboyism, it's childish on all fronts. I'm a PlayStation man myself, though I have a 360 and no PS3 because the XBox is what currently offers what I personally want from gaming. Likewise, whilest I've never owned any Nintendo hardware, I still admire the innovation of the Wii. It just doesn't fit my personal preferences.
