Anyway, so I heard the Playstation 3 has two new updates. Music and entitlements. Music? You can play while playing a video game? Seems as though they got that idea from Xbox 360. And the entitlements are achievements, just with a different name. What the hell is going on?

Sony isn't creative at all is what is going on.

Complete rip-off and I agree, they aren't being creative.

Seems they can only copy things :P.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but... you're right. (the original playstation one is my most prized possesion, I collect them, got seven so far :D ) Even with ps1, I think they copied off Sega Saturn. But that's what sony's all about: Copying stuff off other consoles and brands, and making them ten times better ;) cheeky cheeky Sony.
Which makes me wonder: Why are Sony consoles so popular? meh, ps3 sucks as far as I've heard. It sounds as bad as xbox 360 (sorry xbox fans, but this is my opinion!).

What's going on with todays consoles? Seriously, all of the latest ones just seem to have better graphics and shiny looks and accessories. I dunno, but xbox and ps seem to have really predictable, tired games. Shooting, sport, rpgs... What happened to the good old platformers like AO, where everthing was just crazy, insane fun?

Consoles of today are becoming big, shiny, souless shells for gamers lacking creativity.
I hope at least one of you guys agree with me.

before i got my xbox 360,i was really a sony person.iv had the ps1 and ps2(which i still have but is nearly dead).but now i have my 360,it has completely changed me.it does everything and more for me.the only thing i like and have now from sony is the psp.i think that is amazing.

Well me gots a Ps3 and yes hate me but I agree there is a lot of copying done by sony oh and thanks for telling about this update.

I think that almost everything has been done, but not done WELL/RIGHT.
Sony is just lazy, they stole Motion Control, Nintendo let it pass, but thats Nintendo, a bunch of Freindly japanese men.

Now their dealing with Microsoft, so in the same sense that Nintendo is your foreign exchaneg student friend who is nice to be around and rarely does anything bad, Sony is the friendless guy who take seeryone elses stuff, like a bully.
And then Microsoft, Nintendo's 'step brother' from the exhange family.
I want to see Bill gates devour some souls, its been to long since the Windows Vista launch.

To be honest I think Nintendo are being a bit of a pushover. I'd be pretty angry if Sony stole the main thing about my console.
But it's kinda one of the reasons I like Nintendo, they aren't money hungry and they play fair. Sony are in a bit of a sticky situation. They create nothing new for their console, people get bored, but if they copy other ideas they'll most likely be sued eventually. Think fast Sony, 360=WIN.

Yes, and that is why they will fall to the bottom of the food chain, and be consumed.

The free market system is an ugly place, but that`s how it works.

I am sorry to use that, but its true.

There are some decent games for all current next gen consoles, yes a lot of them suck but you have to consider how much more money and time it costs to create worst game you can think of on any of the next gen consoles, making somthing new is a MASSIVE risk and if it fails thats usally the end of the company these days

Oh, I forgot to mention this earlier.

you know how Sony fanboys' typical trump card is 'Well, Sony invented the disc'd game system! everyone else copies that!'

Lets make something clear: Sony DID NOT, pioneer game discs.
The first systems to were naturally, PCs.
And then, the Sega CD.
Not piece of shit Sony. (However much I love my PSP.)

You said it the only thing good about the ps3 is the grafics are a bit better and I mean the weenest bit better my friends got one.
