Hi, {British pound £ not dollar $} I just cant find Abe's Oddysee!, its like it doesn't exist anymore, but its the best one; I have tried... www.amazon.co.uk [out of stock] www.Ebay.co.uk [I hate bids] www.game.co.uk [nothing] However i could download the game ( but its illegal) however OW dont earn money from the games anymore :| Help would be appreciated ,ParamiteSurprise |
i was the same.i ended up buying it from ebay.i couldnt find it anywhere else.it seems the pc version of abes oddysee is getting quite rare.there a little handful on ebay tho.

Yes, unfortunately now the PC versions of both Oddworld games are harder and harder to come by. I don't know much about the system but it seems as though your only exit is eBay, no matter how much you hate bids...also you could possibly find a friend with the disc and burn it (that's also illegal unfortunately but there is a MUCH lesser risk of the law finding out, unless you, for some odd reason, decide to have a cop over at your house and show him your AO skills...). It works well, it's how I got my AE.

hmm I think OWI should make the game free like GTA1/2 are these days, since they are no longer stocked, buying one from ebay dosent give OWI anymore money
also, im sure reselling a game breaches the EULA so that might very well be illegal too :p |
Re:Yeah
But if they made oddworld classics, (download the old OWI games) then i think it'd take AGES to download it - dont you think??

You may have to overcome your dislike of bidding on eBay.
I purchased second copies of Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus for the PlayStation a few months back. I'm sure there are some floating around eBay. Alcar... |
yes there are quite a few playstation versions still around on ebay.its just the pc ones....
im kinda lucky to still have both ae and ao on pc. |
I've discovered that you don't even need to burn a CD, unless you want to backup your AO files.
If you have a friend or so who has AO on the PC, ask them to borrow it. Do a full install on your PC, and then manually copy all the files that end in ".ddv" into your Abe's Oddysee directory. Then you have the whole game on your HD. :) This works with version 1.0 anyway. Dunno if it works with AE though. |
