Personal Banners?
 

Giday all Oddites.

I am particularly impressed with the banners that appear at the bottom of topics and replies. I would like to know how to do this. However, I am competent at surfing the net, but I'm no computer expert by any means. Could someone please advise me on what to do, is there software I need to do this, etc etc ?

Hello, boojum! It's not necessary to be a comuter expert to work with pictures, you just need to get the right softwares, a few tutorials, and get started.

The most famous image editor is ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, used even by professionals like the Oddworld Inhabitabts artists.
You can find a shareware software very simmilar to that, called PAIT SHOP PRO.
However, I use a free software called THE GIMP. It's a simple and powerfull tool. You can find everything about THE GIMP

My banner, I did it myself, for instance. But you can ask Abe babe or sydney to make one for you, if you like :)

I down loaded Gimp but it wont run. Even got the local puter wiz kid to have a look, and he says that the run commands are missing. So Im going to be lazy and ask Abe Babe or Sydney to do one for me.

Did you download the window version? f you downloaded the Linux version, it will certanly not work in WIndows Operating Systems.

Well, I would like to ask for one to be made for me.... but I'm afraid I don't want to sound rude, which I usually end up doing.

Im not sure which version it was, because I deleted it after 'The Whiz Kid' said it wouldn't work. But I've been back to the site and found the windows versions and will download it when I have more time. But for now I've asked Abe Babe to make me one.
