Help! Aslik won’t move
alcar has already read this message, and has told me to put it here, so here goes.i have a little problem.
while playing on AE i encountered a glitch which prevents the movment (except jumping, in which case he flies through the air and then falls off the screen) and speech of VP Aslik. i have tried starting from my previous save point (the end of the slig barracks) but the glitch is still there. What can i do? please reply, alf's brother's mate |
It'd help if you tell us exactly where you were and what you were doing at the time of the glitch.

I was playing on the game, aslik is in his conference room, and i entered the room and found him like that.

This is a common problem. Search the Oddworld Help forum for ‘Aslik’ and you’ll soon find other instances of people saying they have the problem. This thread may be of interest to you, as it has a possible solution in it.

Have you tried killing yourself and then trying it again?

Well, if you have the PS1 version! Download a good PS1 emulator and play there... so you don't have problem ;)

hmmh by the way if you will jump in the wall where abe is chanting when you are aslik you will stuck

Hi! I have exactly same problem with Aslik. Unfortunately, I cant download that fix which was mentioned on these forums... So I thought that maybe someone could post here savegame file while posessing Aslik's body. Could anyone upload it here for me, please?

You gotta go "advanced reply", look down, there'll be "manage attachements", click it, and then, upload the save. You gotta have this save zipped.

Solved, I think...
I have thge same problem, but I found a solution.
I downloaded the "german cd-copy" from gamecopyworld, and aslik first seemed to be stuck, but when I posessed him he turned ok. I tried to save and load the file in my english crack but then he got stuck again, so it seems that the englisg crack, or fix if you will, simply hates aslik. Use the german one (lacks some sound) untill you get rid of aslik, then continiue with the english one. |
