Paramite Stockyards
 

I've been playing oddworld games for years, and in all my time with Abe's oddysee I've never found out how to get into the paramite stockyards. I've seen pictures of it, and I've tryed to find it, but all I could get to was the defualt scarb stockyards. So if someone could give me a little heads up on how to get there that'd be great, thanks.

There is no paramite stockyards. There are some production images of paramites in the stockyards but OWI took them out before the game was released.

I had never even heard of the paramite stockyards. I presumed i had been there because i havn't played on it for ages, as i couldn't remember.

it was on the back of the cd case, its the 2nd screen of the stockyards, there is no mud or scrab, just a paramite, instead of a mud and a scrab
so they changed the level after the cd case design was completed..

Yes, but in my PSOne Abe´s Oddysee PAL cover there is a image of abe with a paramite.

Yes, it's a well-known image. It was on the OW.com website also. But it's not in the game.

It is not known if this was a mistake or whether the image was placed there as a joke/tease.

i suppose it sounds abit strange that there was a scrab stockyards,but not a paramite one.but theres one thing.it was still a great game,even without it.i mean,you still get to see them,in paramonia,but just not in a stockyard.

It’s not necessarily strange. Abe wouldn’t have attempted the scenic route through the Stockyards. His route would have been as straight as line as possible from the centre/factory‐side of the Stockyards to their edge. His path evidently passed only through the part of the Stockyards where Scrabs are kept.

There were definitely Paramites in the stockyards, you can hear them if you listen very closely.

I didn't say they were in the game, or that you could see them. I just said that they're there. That's a big difference.

I never seemed to notice that there were Paramites chirping in the Stockyards. Good find Skillya!

@Paul: I think you can hear them in the Stockyards, but you can't visually see them. That may have just been put in there since the early level design of the Stockyards was probably done at the same time the sounds were made in AO. In which case, the Paramites were suppose to be in the Stockyards, so sounds were made for them. Yet, it probably was kept in the game after the Paramites disappeared to make a realistic feeling to it and at least have Paramites meantioned in the Stockyards. Of course, this is all theory.

I will play again, and I´ll listen carefuly
P.S: It´s better i go to Paramonia Temple first...

Dude paramite stockyards doesnt exist.That was just a demo.
