Oddworld Deviant Art?
 

Wasn't sure if this was the right forum for this but it didnt fit the others so here goes...

Hi, I noticed loads of people on here have Deviant Art accounts and I know there was once an Oddworld club on there but at the time I couldn't join it because it demanded three peices of fan-art to join and I didnt have a working scanner. Now I'm getting one I can't find the darn club! Or any evidence that it existed!

Sooo I was wondering if people would like to start a new one and give it a chat for RPing and stuff? I've always found it easyer to RP in chatrooms and I'm an active RPer in DAmn.

Well there was a club, but it got banned. There was another club I joined, but I forgot where it is, I know that Nightwhitelion owned it or something.

Thank you both =) Well it thats pretty hard evidence it got banned lol. So would anyone want to join if I made a new one?

I'll go have a look at Nightwhitelion and see if it's in the freinds list or somthing.

Something with the copyright policy if I remember correctly.

hm well as long as people don't upload copyrighted materials it ought to be alright?

Someone said to me it was because they added a member's picture to their favourites, its against the rules so no one fixes the....Favourites thing.

I wouldn't of thought that would get an account banned. I've seen loads of clubs doing that and they've gotten away with it. Can't see it anywhere in dA's FAQ either... but im skim reading so its probably in there somewhere.

Hmm, bloody laws and rules now days make it nigh impossible to do anything. Maybe there is a new one...I'll look about for it, huh...

I think we ought to start a new one then, though if it does get banned for no reason, we should ask why, and point out if other clubs are doing the same.

probly not since it would be for the Oddworld community and not many have actualy found or become a part of the forum. A club for the Oddworld fans on DA....
I wonder if it will allow TheOddworldClub with capitol letters, if it does I'll just edit this post with the link to the new club.
Well I'm not going to be on very much for the next week or two but I can go make a new club profile. I'll post it here, there and everywhere when its done hehe

I had a chat with the help guys and a look through the FAQ too and came up with this:

Improvised clubs will be held responsible for the contents of their own galleries regardless of circumstances. 'Rules' or 'regulations' created by improvised clubs will not be enforced by official deviantART staff.
Improvised clubs which share their password among other users can and will be suspended or banned based on the actions of any single user who commits abuses while logged into the account. Accounts where the password is shared among many may be deemed unrecoverable due to unclear 'ownership' in the event that a claim of unauthorized access or loss of access is filed with the official deviantART Helpdesk.


I guess they may of shared the password too much or had problems with people getting in.

Brand new club, still under construction but its useable! Let me know what you think of it and what I need to do to it and if you want to becoem staff to help out with it and keep it up to date.
