A Fanart Request (or two)..
As the title says. I have a couple of fanart requests, both related to characters in RPGs. Only quality artists (like Ilovehammy!, Marvak, Dripik, or dripik_12)
A request for a more detailed, realistic portrait of my character Arrack from Dripik's Work at Rupture Farms. Ilovehammy! has already done a good one, but I'd like to see someone else give him a try. His appearance is thus; (he's a Slig) "Vomit inducingly hideous. Scarred, pus ridden, abscessed, diseased, infected, bloody, and indescribably ugly all around, in addition to having no front layer of skin. Think "1000 Melting Face Nazis" level disgusting, and raise that to the power of a Norrisplex. Amazingly, he still retains his basic face structure, and would appear to look like an ordinary Slig in shape through an X-ray. His eyes and mouth are the only intact parts of his face. " THIS is a Melting Face Nazi (gruesome warning); (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nleXL...elated&search=) Arrack is MANY MANY times more gruesome than that. Ilovehammy! pretty came up with a design that actually looks better than the original concept so the masked version/thing carried by his side would look like a 7 cm thick version of this mask; http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...8&d=1175048962 Second, a sort of amalgam picture with all my RPG characters in it. You already know Arrack, the others are; Colonel Vernel; "Physical Description: A normally built, discoloured and slightly grey skinned around the neck Slig with no mask (he has received cybernetic eyes and a series of immunisations as a reward from his master) who wears clothes bearing a general resemblance to those worn by Colonel Klink (image available at; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Klink.jpg), albeit coloured goldish black." Domino (three versions, the primary one below, the others ones wearing a top hat and thong or "Domino wears a top hat and a purple tuxedo complete with white gloves and Pee Wee Herman-esque bow tie. He looks quite like a regular Intern except for having slightly lighter eyes and wider nostrils." respectively); "Domino wears a Valet-like checkered suit complete with a tie, spats, and a biking helmet (coloured green and blue) which has an Opod compartment for blasting classical music into domino's ears. He looks quite like a regular Intern except for having slightly lighter eyes, wider nostrils, and a recently unstitched mouth." Banner; "A hulking giant, towering above even his fellow Big Bros due to his natural physique. I'm a quality artist?... Oh, you shouldn't have... *blushes*
Just for that, I'll give you Arrack:  Something tells me it's not gruesome enough, but I tried with all my imaginitve might to come up with this. I hope it's good enough :fuzemb: And omg I have an excuse to draw Domino... :D |
Great, but Arrack actually has pupils intact. His eyes and mouth aren't damaged. Also, on the gruesome thing, it would help if you made his face red, as Praetyre had to remove the entire front layer of his mutilated face after it had been softened, torn by Slogs, and put in the Recycler. Then, he had a massive infection, and they had to pop a toxic pimple so big it caused half of his organs to fly out. They then restitched him, but the amount of blood left caused an anaemic Chronicler to commit suicide by ripping his own stomach out with his bare hands. Hope that gives you a better idea.

That's Mark Foley, the ephebophilic congressman caught sending perverted text messages to former congress pages (pretty close to Interns). Malarkey is also an ephebophile (a transexual one at that).

That is soooo cool, but at the same time it scares me even more than scrabs of of Abe's Oddysee. Much more. But it looks terrifying anyway lol.

Your drawings of Arrack has certainly captured the disgusting and horrorifying factor of Arrack, Marvak. Brings a much more creative image of how Arrack looks like in the mind. I can't wait to see how it will be colored.
However, I have some constructive contritism. Arrack looks a tad evil in your images. I'm not sure if that is quite the character Arrack holds. Or are you trying to show his more menacing, psychotic personality? |
Yeah, I've always seen Arrack's psychotic side as his most recognizable, and facial expression is usually the last thing I think about when sketching. Admitably, I usually don't have to worry about putting so much detail in a character's face, especially such a... beauty-challenged one. <3
