Pre-MO Glukkon Status Poll

A big one, but a good one.

IMO, Molluck is in a class above Glockstar, the CEOs are a little above Dripik,Aslik, and Phleg, and tne brewmaster is below them.

Nate 06-23-2007 04:52 AM

From Alf:

Q: Hey Alf. First, just let me say you're the coolest. Go the tea. Anyway, i have a few questions: 1) Was Molluck a Big Cheese or a Glockstar?

Alf: Well it's sort of hard to say. He may have had some of the credibility and respect of a Glockstar, but his foul odor would lead me to believe was big (however rotten) cheese. Yes, I'll go with Big Cheese.

Jordan 06-23-2007 08:45 AM

Molluck is a Big Cheese. Phleg, Aslik and Dripik are Big Cheeses too I think. And I'd say the brewmaster was a wanna-be/something lower. He's not exactly the most well known Glukkon is he?

Slaveless 06-23-2007 08:51 AM

Actually, I thought Dripik was a Glokstar. Aslik might be a Big Cheese, although he seems rather small for one. Phleg just might be a Big Cheese as well.

The BrewMaster may just be a Wanna-be as well. He wasn't all that important. Heck, the other Wanna-bes were just as important!

Jordan 06-23-2007 08:54 AM

Oh yeah, I heard Dripik was a Glokstar somewhere. Maybe it's because he's so popular among the Sligs.

Alex2405 06-23-2007 09:07 AM

I think Molluck is a Big Cheese, Dripik, Phleg and Aslik are Big Cheeses, Brewmaster is a Big Cheese, Lulu is a Glockstar, CEOs are Chumps and Junior Executives are Chumps!

skillya_glowi 06-23-2007 11:25 AM

Molluck was definitely a Big Cheese. You can tell by his shoes -
http://oddworldlibrary.net/archives/...=RAMO0048.jpg2
Notice the Big Cheese has the white tips facing outward...
http://oddworldlibrary.net/archives/...=CAAO0004.jpg1
...And so does Molluck.

I agree with Slaveless and Jordan about the other ones, no need to retype them.
Hold on, where did you people hear Dripik was a Glockstar? I don't remember seeing anything like that.
I should really read Dear Alf more...

IAmHeavy 06-23-2007 11:40 AM

!
he has got to be the big cheese!
mullock has got to be!

Venks 06-23-2007 12:00 PM

Molluck is a Big Cheese, but he had more pull then any other Big Cheese though.
You could say Molluck was the biggest of the Big Cheeses.

IAmHeavy 06-23-2007 12:21 PM

oh btw, the slig who cares story you made, IT WAS PERFECT

Jordan 06-23-2007 03:31 PM

^ :fuzconf: Random...

Thanks for clarifying that Molluck was a Big Cheese Skillya.
I'd say Molluck was somewhere inbetween the Big Cheese and Glokstar status. He's got millions of Moolah, and he owns/owned a huge meat plant.
He'd rather go for the wealth, and not for the popularity, instead of going into public, he focuses on his job. Also, the Glokstars tend to be snobs, but Molluck is just plain serious. So yeah, he'd be a GlokCheese. :D

Why thank you AbeX300! Its awesome to hear that people enjoy my story.
Chapter 5 will hopefully be up by the end of today, hope you like it. ^^

Sorry for going off topic! *crouches and covers head in fear of being shot*

I don't think Molluck had millions of Moolah, seeing as 3 Million is a huge amount.
Also Rupture Farms was lacking in profits in AO.

Patrick Vykkers 06-23-2007 03:39 PM

Wait a minute.. how could Dripik be a Glockstar if Molluck was a Big Cheese and Dripik is Molluck's bitch?

Meh, Molluck being a Big Cheese doesn't make sense to me when you consider that the facilities he's owned so far have been far far larger than Flubco. Although, the outfits are dead ringers.

I didn't exactly say 3 million. Rupture Farms was only lacking in profits because the creatures were going extinct. Before that they'd have had more money, and you have to remember, there's more than just one Rupture Farms.

Nate 06-23-2007 07:25 PM

I really think that the glukkon statuses aren't all that clearcut. I doubt that the moment a gluk earns a certain level of moolah in the bank, a deliveryslig comes out with a new suit and a badge that says "I became a Glockstar and all I got was this stupid sparklesuit".

The statuses that we see have more to do with how Gluks want to be seen than how they really are. One gluk might almost bankrupt himself to buy the sparkle suit whilst another, who's worth more money, would prefer to keep his money safe in a bank vault or invest it in a new venture.

Molluck in particular strikes me as a person who cares far more about power than anything else. He certainly wouldn't waste money on luxuries when he could be consolidating his position within the cartel.

Having said all that, it's all my own opinion and not canon by any means. I'm sure Max will disagree with me thoroughly and point out the one important thing I've missed in my analysis.

Patrick and the Amazing 1,000 Option Polls

Molluck = Big Cheese on the brink of Glockstarity
Board = Big cheeses I guess. Rupturefarms was massive so I guess they really did need a team that big to manage it all.
Aslik = Big Cheese, only with more style.
Dripik = more of an honorable figurehead rather than a businessman. Kind of like how the queen is to the Brits.
Phleg = Big cheese
brewmaster = I've always felt that he was something of a surrogate CEO, probably just someone higher up on the paper-pusher staff until Molluck croaked. I don't think Molluck ever believed he would get ousted so it didn't really matter who he made his viceroys.
Misc. Gluks = wanna-bes.

Xavier 06-25-2007 05:30 AM

I wonder if the Brewmaster could be a big cheese too, he isn't CEO of SoulStorm Brewery, Molluck is. But he also seems to be more then a wanna-be

:fuzconf:

I'm not so sure seeing as the Brewmaster has one Slig beside him, yet the other Glukkons seem to have lots. I'd say the more popular a Glukkon is, the more Sligs he has surrounding him. The other Sligs would rather go to Molluck or Dripik, seeing as they own a lot more and their jobs are more important, so they get paid more and they can brag about how much they are in a certain Gluk's good books.

TTChopper 06-25-2007 08:02 AM

I think everyone are Big Cheeses except Boardroom CEO:s and non-boss glukkons are Wanna-bes.

Alex2405 06-28-2007 09:48 AM

Non-Boss Glukkons in Abe's Exoddus are Chumps!I agree to the rest you said!

Patrick Vykkers 06-29-2007 03:30 AM

If we take the view that the Pre-MO Gluks have been retroclassified by similar appearance to certain classes, I would place the hierarchy thus;
Non boss AE Gluks (including Boardroom Junior Executives, as presumably they are the cinematic manifestations of the in game non boss Gluks): Wanna-be (suit is as unmistakable as Molluck's Big Cheese suit.)
Brewmaster: Mid ranking Wanna-be (or possibly same level as Junior Execs, though cutscenes seem to contradict this.)
Aslik: Wanna-beCheese (Much like Molluck's aformentioned Big Glock status) (Alf's pecking order comment, the "You ain't runnin nothin" one that preceded it, his clothing, the body language of Phleg and Dripik and verbal attitudes point to Aslik being lesser)
Phleg: Mid ranking Big Cheese (clothes are essentially a mix of Wanna-be and Big Cheese, and he seems roughly equal to Dripik)
Dripik: Mid to high ranking Big Cheese (clothes are bigger than Phleg's, military rank, overall conduct in cutscenes)
Boardroom CEOs: Same as Dripik (clothes and conduct)
Molluck: Big Glock (Clothes are bigger, overall ownings are bigger, regard is bigger, coolness)

Munch's Master 07-01-2007 11:37 AM

I'd say Molluck was the biggest of Big Cheeses, The CEOs were Big Cheeses, Aslik was somewhere inbetween Wanna-Be ad Big Cheese, Phleg was Big Cheese, Dripik was between Big Cheese and Glockstar (His OW site bio seems to indicate he's the highest status of them), The Brewmaster was a Wanna-be, and the non-boss Gluks were Puds and/or Chumps.
