Coffee and/or Tea?

I'm a fan of both, actually. During school days, I have got to have a cup of coffee in the morning, and I often enjoy a cup of tea in the early evening. I sort of get into it; I don't order herbal teas online, but I buy this herbal tea brand called Celestial Seasonings from the grocery store and it's been great so far.

My two favorites of that brand are teas called Sleepytime (chamomile and other stuff, it really works to put you to a nap) and one I just got called Tension Tamer, (camomile, eleuthero, cinnamon, pepperment, and lemon.)

Is anybody here actually into this stuff? Are you very particular about the tea or coffee you drink, or not, or do you just not drink any at all? Or, if we're on the subject... It's been argued whether or not coffee is healthy, do you think it is or not?

skillyaslig 06-19-2007 10:12 PM

I'm ALL FOR THE TEA!!! I hate coffee. Nasty. Smells good though.

Jordan 06-19-2007 10:47 PM

Ew, coffee is rank... :fuzemb: I love tea though, I have it every morning. :)

Havoc 06-19-2007 10:47 PM

I drink the occasional cup of coffee when I'm particularly tired at work or something but when possible I go for tea with lots o suga!

Hobo 06-20-2007 12:05 AM

Both are foul.

moxco 06-20-2007 12:17 AM

I have a tea every morning [I would have coffe if I was alowed] but I'm all with coffe!

Bullet Magnet 06-20-2007 12:48 AM

I've got to support tea by law or something, but in truth I like neither.

Fortesque13 06-20-2007 01:19 AM

Tea is just sweet and that's why I like it. As for coffee, I drink mine with no sugar and/or milk because I like the taste of it.

Oh man, I don't understand how some people like black coffee, I can't take it. It must be useful though, because when there's no milk and sugar you can still have coffee :p

I LOVE tea. It's the drink of the south! I'm not a country girl, but the one thing I adore about Tennessee is that they have some of the best sweet tea around. I drink it a lot. But, I drink water most of the time. Especially when I'm working.

Abeguy 06-20-2007 06:38 AM

I like sweet coffee, and sometimes tea is good too...but it always comes in second to coffee

skillya_glowi 06-20-2007 12:26 PM

Eww...while some of you don't understand how people can like black coffee, I don't understand how you like sweet coffee. Just makes me retch.

I'm a big fan of coffee, and I drink mine brewed strong with no sugar or milk or whatever else you put in there. It better be bitter coffee (I hate sour coffee) and it better not be decaf...
Anything other just doesn't taste like real coffee. I mean, really.

As for tea, I drink tea sometimes, at least once each day. Sugar in tea is, according to my take, disgusting as well. My favourite is hibiscus tea, you know, the one that's sour and kinda reddish...

Abraham Lure 06-20-2007 01:06 PM

I've only tried coffee. And I like sugary, milky coffee. I usually have decaf because it's better for you then caffeinated (Sp). But sometimes I have normal coffee.

I really want to try herbal teas to see if it would be nice. And I want to try regular tea as well. I might try it soon (With the sugar and milk).

Jordan 06-20-2007 01:55 PM

I had a herbal tea once, they taste like water IMO. Same with green tea.

Alcar 06-20-2007 03:16 PM

Coffee, as opposed to Tea.

In greater depths, I always order a flat white (americano for the yanks) with two sugars.

Alcar...

My, my that reminds me of someone... Oh yeah, me! I love the coffee's bitter taste. Unfortunately, every cup of coffee I make turns out crap. And the coffee my mom makes I can't drink, cause she doesn't let me...

Abeguy 06-20-2007 09:19 PM

I don't like mine overly sweet, just not too bitter

LadySlig 06-20-2007 09:48 PM

I like tea, due to the fact it makes me feel relaxed and warm.

Marvak 06-20-2007 11:47 PM

I like tea, with loads and loads of sugar, and a little bit of milk. I hate coffee, it's like burnt.... something.
And who's tried ice tea here? I highly reccomend it.

skillyaslig 06-21-2007 12:05 AM

What even is ice tea? Ive read it in books, but have no idea what in blazes it is...

Abeguy 06-21-2007 06:08 AM

cold tea

Instructions:
1. Brew any tea
2. Stick ice in it
3. Enjoy...or else

Rex Tirano 06-21-2007 06:13 AM

I used to only like tea but I've been living off coffee for the past week so I can get all my work done.

TBH it's grown on me and I'd rather have a cup of coffee now than tea.

JAVA, Cup of Joe, Mud.

Coffee: Hot ,Strong, and Black............( you can put the punch line here if you want). ;)

Reiji Neko Mitsukai 06-21-2007 08:01 AM

I can't really stand coffee. I like the smell of the grounds in the can, but I can only tolerate a swallow of black coffee before the bitterness puts me off. Tea's the drink of choice for me. The only one I don't really like is peppermint. It made me go all squinty.

Nate 06-21-2007 04:13 PM

I used to be like that about coffee until the first time I had a 9-5 job and coffee was my only available (and free) caffeine supply. I just loaded it up with sugar and got used to the flavour quite quickly.

Nowadays I drink far too much coffee, mostly because my sleep patterns are totally screwed. I don't drink tea ever because it just tastes like muddy water to me.

Ice tea comes in little powdered sachetes where I come from, and you get a cold glass of water, pour the contents of the sachete in, stir it intill it's dissolved, and voila. Ice tea. I like the lemon and lime flavour.

Abeguy 06-21-2007 04:29 PM

A good 'ol cup of Rosie cheers me up though. I'm not a Coffee only guy

Ajiellyn 06-21-2007 05:58 PM

I love iced tea, though the iced tea I'm used to is the sort you get from putting that powder from the supermarket into ice water.

I've tasted TRULY herbal tea, the hardcore, 'this is good for you, so don't put anything in it!' tea, without sugar or anything, and it was terrible to me. I drink 'herbal' tea but I put sugar and honey in it first. It's the only way I know to bring out the actual flavor, otherwise, as many are saying, it kind of does taste like water.

LadySlig 06-21-2007 08:57 PM

Brr, its snowing here, so I am going to get some tea....

Munch's Master 06-23-2007 07:04 AM

Since I'm a Brit, I should adore tea, but I don't. Coffee is great though, I'm actually drinking a cup while typing this, no lie. Coffee with milk, Irish Coffee, Gaelic Coffee, Cappucino and French Coffee are my favorutie types, in that order.
