About old topics

This may or may not have been talked about before, but I know other forums that (automatically or not, I'm not sure) lock any topics that hadn't been posted in for 1 year or so.
So why not for OWF? It'd prevent noobs from posting in 4-year-old topics and annoying everyone. And yes, I'll admit to making such a mistake when I was just joined XD.
It's just a suggestion. *shrugs* What you you guys think?

It happens so rarely that I don't think it's really an issue. We now have a warning above the reply box on old threads, which has stopped some zombification as well.

Also, sometimes reviving an old thread is justified. A recent example is the Glitches thread in GD; we really don't need a hundred versions of that floating around.

*nods* fair enough.

Zombification lol

zombification

I don't know what it is, but I've got a yearning to play Dead Rising now.

A thread was dead. Now it has been brought back to life, but it's lurching and slow rather than properly active.

They tend to eat noobs' brains and cause significant pain to those of the mods who must deal with them.

Odd that would hurt. and would piss you off. Can see why some fellas get pretty angry when that happens.
