AE Psx iso - how to delete videos?
hi all
I have 2 psx isos of AE (disc 1 and disc 2). But they are too big, so I want to delete videos from them, because I run it on my pocket pc with psx emulator and I have only 1GB memory card. So I am able to run only disc 1 (from mines to necrum ender (jumping into feeco depot well)). I have program to unpack (extract) iso and program to make psx iso from selected directory. I think the video files are very large and their filenames end with .MOV. But if I delete the files and make iso, the game doesnt run - it makes only green screen and nothing happens. So I want to ask you if there is someone experienced in deleting videos from exoddus psx iso images and what do I have to do to delete videos? Thank you. |
I don't think it's possible to shorten the file, unless you hacked it, but that's kind of illegal.
|
Where did you got those iso's? I'm actually very intrested in messing with them, I might even be able to help you :)

It’s not really illegal to hack something as long as it’s for your own, private use.

You can make your own psx iso (cd image) file using some software.
I don't have problems with deleting videos from most of psx games, I can also take psx demos and join together demos into one iso I like or I want to have, but exoddus is problem... BTW it is not illegal if you own original cd. |

Personally, I'd rephrase that to "It's not unethical if you own the original CD. |
In czech republic it is legal to make copies of your own software for private use. Making iso is almost the same as make copy/backup copy and deleting videos to get smaller game to be able to play both cds in pocket pc is the private use, nothing commercial, no sharing... nothing, just my private use.
Please help me.. :( EDIT: I dont need help now - I will buy usb host cable for my pocket pc so I will be able to connect flash disc - I will have more memory :) |
I want a PSX emulator and some ISOs. I have the games, still, they're just cracked, and my PSX is broken.
Links? :p |
Google for epsxe (emulator) and some sw for creating isos from cds...

The PC version of AO is based on PSXEmu, I would use that.
And for deleting them, I would replace the videos with the smallest video. ;) |
