I leave from May 28th till August 20th
 

We booked of a flight last week. I'm going to leave that place I live on May 28th and I'll stay with a nice family in Utah, Odgen till August 20th, when I have to go back to Switzerland. I can even go to a school there in this time. And guess what? It's some kind of an art school! :eek:
Oh my god, they just took my on board without any tests. It's quite hard to believe for me, it sounds like a paradise: They teach courses dealing with every kind of art (watercolor, airbrush, drawing and mixed media...) and I can't wait, I would love to learn them all!
That's way cooler than the school I went the last 10 years, where they never really thought that art was important to teach at all.

But, to be honest, I still think there's one hitch... because I'm just used to it, heh. :)


Well, I'm not sure whether I will be able to post stuff here on this forums while I stay with this family in Ogden because I don't know whether they have a computer that I may use.
I didn't want to ask them for it because I thought this would be too rude...

So you better bargain for the worst (or the best): I won't be here for a while, maybe. :eek:

I'll surely miss you guys (especially the artists, and also all the persons who gave their very kind comment on my art and fan fiction). :)

Those are good news. Great to hear that you managed to get in an art school afterall. Hope you'll learn loads about art out there.

And prepare for a few WOTA pictures by the time you get back. ;)

It's not a real art school, actually. But it's a school I can go for these three month, at least. :)

Guess what? I'm in America now. Utah, Ogden.

This very kind family with which I'm gonna stay for the next three months also allowed me to use the computer so I won't be that offline than I thought before. And they have a scanner too.
They only don't have Photoshop so you won't see more colored pictures of mine in this time. But at least, I can show you a few pencil sketches and stuff.
Uh, maybe I'll show you them tomorrow because I'm quite tired right now. My horrible flight did not take 12 hours. It took about 17 hours. And unsurely about doing everything right, I always was like:"I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die. And there's also the time difference.
I was actually traveling from 09:50 o'clock till about 04:30 o'clock. But when I arrived, it was just early in the evening.
I have to get used to that first. But I think, it won't be that hard. Heh, I often have been awake late at night at home anyway because I was drawing. Sometimes even till 2:00 o'clock.

But hey, I survived! :D

By the way, did I already say that I like America? Okay, okay, it's just my first impression of it. But the people here are really nice and the landscapes are awesome. I have to show photos of it soon.
Everything is new and interesting. New cultures, new buildings, new neighbors, new kinds of animals knocked down on the highways...
No, seriously. It's better than home.

But there was one strange thing at the airport, I didn't like. As a foreigner, you first have to fill out papers. It began pretty harmless with questions like: "What's your name? Where are you coming from? What do you plan to do in America?"
But then, these questions came: "Have you ever been a terrorist or do you plan to become one? Do you plan to bring weapons with you? Did you ever kidnap a child of an American person who has actually takes custody of it?" and so forth...
Gee. I'm not as criminal as I may look like. They also frisked me from head to feet (I had to get off my shoes too). But they didn't find anything.

Fortunately, I got a good start when I met the family. Hope, I can keep it that way...
