What kind of house/town do you live in?

I was just curious where everyone lives, so I made this topic. It's pretty pathetic, I know, but if you want, you can tell me about your town, house and everyday life. :) I'll tell you all about mine later, when this thread gets going (If it goes good that is. I'm still a bit shaken from what happened on my other threads.).

I live in two-family house in a relatively suburban area. I don't know what else to include :p.

Bullet Magnet 05-12-2007 03:29 PM

My house is a semi-detached house in the country, beautiful in the summer, and from what I hear is now home to a very loud peacock that turned up out of nowhere.

But right now I live in the port town of Southampton, specifically the university's halls of residence, in a tiny room that receives an hour and a half of direct sunlight a day (specifically the one hour and a half I get to sleep each day) in what I am told is a very vibrant area.

But it is fatally lacking in Oddworld Forums, so I'm not inclined to investigate further during such times. I see it only at night, when it is dark and quiet. From the rooftops.

Reiji Neko Mitsukai 05-12-2007 10:29 PM

I live in a village. 'Nuff said.

Wil 05-13-2007 04:42 AM

Right now I live in a small room off a corridor populated by very loud, boisterous people in Ranmoor House, a run‐down shambles of a Halls of Residence that the University of Sheffield will be knocking down next year. Next year I’ll be moving into a small house with three other people I don’t know particularly well, but it’s in a seemingly quiet corner of the city.

But home proper is a terraced house on a short road connecting two major arterial roads in the south‐east of Norwich, a fine city! The city centre is just 20 minutes’ walk away, but we’re far enough out to see the stars at night.

I think the last time a version of this thread was made, everybody posted photographs of their house. :D

I live in a semi-detached house, and my neighbours are absolute idiots. You should here them screaming on the garden. Ugh. :fuzemb:

Abraham Lure 05-13-2007 05:49 AM

I used to live in a 3-bedroomed house. But the whole got too big for it. My room was tiny. So we all decided (As every option of moving was a place where there were yobs and chavs) to have a house extension. My room is now huge. The biggest room in the house. And I have the best view. The photo I'm attaching is a good example (The photo was taken from my bedroom window).

I live in a nice town. It's a little on the filthy side. But it's got everything you need. It's popular among tourists and it's got 4 beaches. One of them I can easily walk to (It also has a cafe). It also has a shop called 'Great Shakes' (Sells lovely milkshakes), a Subway shop (I love the subway sandwiches) and much more, including a Game shop, a video and DVD rental shop and loads of book shops. I sound like a ruddy advert now. But still, I love where I live.

I live in one of those tight-knit communities composed of around 5 or six boroughs in the boondocks where everyone's white and football is everyone's favorite thing. In other words, I live with a bunch of hicks. :p

Arxryl 05-13-2007 07:11 AM

I live in a rather rural area (granted the area is a small town)...
The closest town to our town is about five miles and they have arguably the exact same town.

I live in a two story house with a messy back lawn. But good thing 'bout that is I can go back there when the weeds are getting too tall, and hack them down with a machette. Ooh the fun!

skillya_glowi 05-13-2007 03:03 PM

I live in a small city in Southern California. You'd expect a small city to be "quaint" but mine is nothing of the kind. Sure, the people are pretty nice, but 1) They're Americans and 2) When you're going anywhere by foot you're pretty much the only person on the street. That kinda sucks. Everyone has cars so all the sidewalks are pretty much empty.
As to my living space I am situated, most unfortunately, with my parents in a very small 2-bedroom apartment (but by the end of this year we should have enough saved to buy a house).

IloveHammy! 05-13-2007 05:46 PM

Okay you guys, thank for telling me about your homes and towns. :) A lot of you live in a small town or city, like me. I'll post pictures of my house later, but right now I want to show you the serious situation my county, town and actually, country faces.
This is my father, Carson Camp's, site. His friend, Phil Hunt, is going through a lot of trouble with illegal alians stealing his rock and tearing up his land, just beacause they own the "Mineral Rights". http://www.nomineralrights.com/ Please tell me what you think of the problem Phil, my family and I are facing.

Alf Shall Rise 05-13-2007 06:45 PM

I live in a dinky house, with bad paint job. One family with two bedrooms, and the town I live in is a rather dumpy place. For some reason I have some high-tech computers.

And that problem yer facing? I leave no comment.

Marvak 05-13-2007 11:31 PM

I live in a pretty rural/suburban town, trees everywhere, close to farms. My school is ages away  It's a fair-sized, one-floor house. My bedroom is small, and I love it like that :D

Thank you! I like it too. You see the gazebo on the top?

Alf Shall Rise 05-14-2007 05:08 PM

Yea! I do, very nice.

Arxryl 05-14-2007 06:02 PM

That's about the coolest house I've seen! (Next to the Haunted Mansion, but that doesn't technically count.)

ziggy 05-14-2007 07:50 PM

I live in a normal-biggish house in the suburbs in eastern Washington. There are a lot of hicks here, but only in some areas, and a lot of quiet old people. Where I live it is a slight desert climate, and doesn't rain or snow too often. But it can really cold or really hot at different times.

Fluid 05-15-2007 06:55 AM

my home is at 7th floor... where neighbours don't say hi to eachother

That's a good thing. *nods*

Here's a link to the site for the park and museum my family founded and operates. http://www.cokeovens.com/ We're cleaning it up right now, getting perpared for our annual Bluegrass Festival. :)

6-finger-fred 05-17-2007 02:30 PM

I live the suburbs of a get-anywhere-in-twenty-minutes town.

Arxryl 05-17-2007 04:00 PM

that's pretty cool ILoveHammy. Looks like those people are having fun.

Abraham Lure 05-18-2007 08:17 AM

That is very cool, IloveHammy. I wish I could visit the museum. That would be cool for me. But good luck with the future.

Living in Cornwall for me is very nice. It has everything you need and is less polluted than London. It's also very beautiful. I might even put a photo thread just to show off Cornwall. But anyway, I live in a nice town in a beautiful area.

Thanks! Yeah, maybe one day when wer're older and when we get rich, we can meet up with one another and you can see my museum. I'd like to see your town as well. I've never been out of the U.S. :(

I live in a sort of rainforest on the rural outskirts of Puerto Rico. The streets in my town are really weird because they go around the mountain and they're really steep sometimes... My neighbors as I know them are all old people, and homeless people and people riding horses commonly pass by on the street in front of my house.

My house itself is not a pretty place, we kind of moved in after it hadn't been inhabited for some twenty years. Not all of the walls are painted, and there are no floors, just cement and it's dangerous to fall anywhere :P

Despite that, the view is beautiful and it's really cool except for the mosquitoes.

Sounds like a really cool place! Except for the mosquitoes and house problems of course. ;) We have mosquitoes here in Tennessee, America too. They get really bad during the summer months. I always remember to put bug spray on before I go out though.

P.S., I love your signature picture! Did you make it? If so, and if you enjoy drawing, you should get an account here http://hiphopqueen333.deviantart.com/ . That's my account.
