The big finish, Abes Exoddus. I need help!
dones anyone have any tips/tricks/hints for getting through this bit? i always end up dying bacause of drills, or the muds i need get killed by the drills. with it on a time limit i panic a bit, so does anyone know a good way to do this?

unlike the final stage in AO there isn't realy a shortcut or anything like that, you simply have to try to stay calm :p
|
I have a tip that always works for me. Don't think about it being timed. Imagine it as a normal level, and that you're determined not to make mistakes. You want to quicksave at certain points like when you get to a Mudokon or something, though.
|
Everything Oddjob said.
Plus: Quicksave often. Also, try saving the game, exiting out, and choose it from the level select screen instead. Why this helps: it takes the pressure of having a bunch of Mudokons saved already off your chest, and you do the level just for amusement. If you take the pressure off, playing it well comes almost naturally. Bottom line: be patient, practice. |
yea
yea like me i took 10 times from the beginning and got it so be Patience
|
Thus, at parts when you have to guide Mudokons through drills, you can tell them to wait before the drill, roll through the drill and stop at the side of the screen, tell the Mudokon to follow you, then quickly exit sideways. You wait a few seconds on the neighbouring screen and the Mudokon appeares, unharmed and whole. But I guess this trick is not new to some veteran players.
When I played the AE Ender level, I usually did a quicksave at the Detention center, then when I arrived to those drills, right after the moving platforms. But, like the others have said before me, be patient and stay calm. ...I guess this is why I didn't enjoy AO as much as AE. Lack of patience and the missing QuikSave function. |
Yeah, in AO the lack of Quicksave really anoyed me...that bone-drill bit was tricky though...Just take ya time
|
I would have to disagree with everyone on quiksaving. Because(this actually happened to me.) if you quiksave when you don't have enough time to complete the level, you will continuously die.
|
You can manually restart the level though.
|
This is true. However, when I did restart the level, instead of going back to the beginning of the finale, it took me back to where you had to be a glukkon to get to the finale. So I just said f*** it, quit the game, and started it up again.

everyones gonna keep posting here until i actually get it aren't they xD. thanks for all the help, i'm off to try it now... WISH ME LUCK!
|
I once QuickSaved right in the step, and the ,,destination'' of the step was a mine!I continued to die, die, die...
|
Sorry for being Off-Topic!
|
I have just uploaded a video showing you how to "protect" mudokons from drills...

:O wows! thanks for uploading that! thats gonna help alot!
I tried it yesterday, and failed 6 times, then got angry at the game, then played a beat-em-up to get my rage out. methinks i'm hopeless xD |
Well, for me, the game ender is very easy. Maybe because I played the ender many (100?) times. Just keep trying and I am sure you will be as good as I am, maybe better than me ;)
|
I FINALLY DID IT! WOOO!
the end dissapointed me immensly though. all i got was credits D: ( i got the good ending though =D ) tanks everyone for all your help! |
Congratulations! You'll be slightly more pleased if you complete it with all Mudokons though - free artwork and a message about Munch!
