More nazis!
I'm sick and tired of EA milking the WWII genre. They've made dozens of 'sequels' to the Medal of Honor series. All of them are poorly made, the graphics suck compared to recent games, and it looks as if they're just money-makers, focusing on maximizing profit while minimizing budget.
It looks like mass-production is coming to video games. We're screwed if other companies follow suit. A message to EA: Stop making shitty games just to make a quick buck, and make something worth my money and time. |
EA has few games that are good. They like to buy out companies and property rights and sit on them or make crappy games. On a semi-related note, the next Call of Duty is modern.
|
Some companies at least will always remain making awesome games. OWI a possibility, and off course there's SEGA, Nintendo, Insomniac, to name a few. Some companies suck, others are awesome, there tends to be little middleground. I never buy cruddy games, and have no war ones. Heck, the only FPS' I've even played are Metroid Prime Hunters and Halo PC, seldom any MOH or whatever.
Most war games all look well nigh exactly the same anyway. |

On Topic: Yeah I have noticed that they are making a lot of WWII games. A lot of them are about nazis too. |

Mark my words. "Medal of Honor: Airborne" will kick your ass. I've never been a fan of the Medal of Honor series (I'm personally a Call of Duty man), but "Airborne" is going to rock seven ways 'till Sunday. Premise: you jump out of a plane to start the frickin' level. You can land anywhere in the level, meaning that the entire mission is nonlinear. Enemy and friendly AI reacts accordingly and is supposedly completely unscripted. It. Will. Rock. (As long as it includes all the things I just said.)
Besides, Call of Duty 4 is moving on to modern combat, so there will at least be less WWII games on the market. ... Now, I'm a little biased because I'm a WWII nut, but I really don't understand why people get all bent out of shape over WWII games. Really now, there's still plenty of room for exploration. Nothing notable and extensive has been done with the North African campaign. Nothing good (outside of CoD2) has dealt with the Russian front. Nothing good (at all) has been done with assault on Fascist Italy. What I do understand, however, is the frustration with the sheer amount of SHITTY WWII games on the market. I can agree with that, but I definitely don't think that developers should give up on WWII all together. And honestly, nazis aren't anymore cliché than terrorists, zombies, aliens, or post-apocalyptic militants. And really, I can relate to killing fascists that actually existed and posed a threat to the free world far more than I can relate to killing Muslims that I'm told are bad... or, you know, things that don't and probably will never exist. :p [/End Rant] |
The last time I bought a Medal of Honour game was when Adolf Hitler rose from the grave.
|
There should be a WW2 game where Hitler is the final boss and he has super natural powers!
Also, speaking of Nazis. I am looking forward to "Fall of Liberty", in which America was never involved and the Nazis come to us. :D |
:
First FPS ever. Final boss was a giant, magical robo-Hitler. |
lol no.
Just had to be an elietist cunt. What kind of forumer would I be otherwise? :D Magical robohitler still rules. |
Bah! He's using spells. That's not an FPS. Criticism denied!
Or not. XP |
EA sucks, end of story. We all know this. But thanks for rubbing into our faces that the biggest publisher in the world sucks major hairy ass! :(

Call of Duty 4
They have the trailer for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on Break.com.
http://www.break.com/index/call-of-duty-4-trailer.html No NAZIS per say, but I can see a certain religious group get`n a serious wad in their turbans when this puppy hits the ground. :D Of course it might be just a coincidence that some of the bad guys have a striking resemblance to certain middle eastern martyrs. Might have a small continuity problem , can`t see these bad boys being to keen on using an Israeli made Desert Eagle, but hey it looks cool. |
