So.. uh, heh. Hey guys.

As you have (or maybe you haven't) noticed, I haven't been around very often these days. I extend my apologies to everyone for sort of fading away, especially after (finally :p) receiving moderator powers. I guess I sort of caught Oddguy's curse. Finally get awarded something in your virtual social world, and suddenly your "real" life speeds up. I'm not going to tell you to take them away from me, but I have to say that what I thought would be another dull summer in which I would be spending much time on the interweb will also be as busy as the school year. So, it's always nice to know that when I come here (whether it becomes weekly again or not), I'll be able to be a helping hand, but I understand if you want someone a bit more active than on a monthly basis.

In other news, my school year has been amazing. I'm missing Luke and my friends back home badly, but my school and new friends are absolutely wonderful. The marine biology thing is going decently besides my struggle in the horrible math department we have here. I've been sorting manatee organs and whatnot on the side (as I've volunteered at the state's pathobiology lab sometimes), and this summer I'm upgrading to research on animals with their organs intact. I and four or so other students were accepted to aid in some dolphin-related research over the summer. It's funny.. they're going to teach us to drive a boat before school is over, meaning that I will have a boater's license before a driver's license. Y'arr, it makes me feel like both a true pirate and true marine biologist. Ye shall call me Slippery Boots 'Barr.

Anywhooo, I hope all is going well here on ol' OWF. Anything interesting going on lately? Anyone running around needing a slap on the wrist? How's my dear, sweet friend MF doing? Any new awesome members? Romance gossip? Cure for Hobo rabies?
